I had to take some classes nearby, and this was the closest restaurant for lunch. Really good food, IMO, artfully arranged. Despite the Covid 19 restrictions. The staff was very cheerful and upbeat, the food delicious, service prompt, and everything very clean. Colorful murals on the wall. Even the sound system was quite professional, with upbeat Latin music. The place just cheers you up. Rating a place as a hidden gem is not something I do often, but this place is one good find....
Solid simple dishes, priced fair with great attitude toward customers. Owner usually checks in on customers personally, feel like they actually care if your food comes out good or not. Small things matter.
Food is really good and the Tuesday and Wed dollar tacos are awesome. Also BYOB so that's a plus. Only thing I dislike is the toppings for the tacos are in a small little self serve section with no lids and little kids like putting their hands in it so be aware of that and maybe ask for fresh stuff on the aide. Staff is really nice and plenty of parking.
