Went for valentines day and was not impressed spent around $450 for 2 people and felt like we didn't get our moneys worth also we were sat right near the door and couldn't hear each other talk, I would not recommend for a couple going on a date night there are far better choices in the area.

My experience was good. I had a great host, that was very attentive and recommended some great things to eat. The steak was tender and very tasteful. I would definitely do this restaurant again.

Good food. Nice ambiance but waited 45 minutes for entrees after we had eaten our appetizers. No one acknowledged it or apologized. I kept seeing the tables around us asked how everything was going by our server and management but our table was skipped of this question until after our entrees were received.

I recently celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Blu on the Hudson, and from the moment we walked in, this place understood the assignment. The ambiance was intimate, romantic, and effortlessly upscale — the perfect setting for a special occasion. The atmosphere set the tone immediately: dim lighting, elegant décor, and a refined yet warm vibe that made the evening feel intentional and celebratory. It struck the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. As for the food — flawless. The salmon was cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The skirt steak was juicy, seasoned just right, and delivered that melt-in-your-mouth quality you hope for but don't always get. And the lobster mac and cheese? Rich, decadent, and indulgent in the best way — the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite. Every detail felt elevated. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall experience made the celebration feel truly special. If you're looking for a place that delivers on romance, quality, and a five-star experience, Blu on the Hudson absolutely delivers. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and and I had the filet mignon and my daughter had the salmon. We had a side of mashed potatoes. Everything we had was delicious. Server was excellent!

Our server was amazing, I have a gluten allergy and she was very informative and cautious about handling my food

Went here for my anniversary last night and was surprised to see the overwhelming crowd. We had a reservation but had to wait about 30 minutes because there was nothing reserved for us. We were seated by the door when something opened up but it was way too cold so we waited again. We were accommodated with a both in the back. We ordered the interesting table side drinks that were to be made at our table with the trolley but the waitress delivered them….when asked, she just said “no they’re not made at the table” with no further explanation. The food was good, amazing truffle creamed spinach but the steak fell short. I’ve personally had better at longhorn. The waitress was not very attentive & didn’t even acknowledge our anniversary. She truthfully didn’t deserve a tip but we’re not shallow so we tipped. The music is really loud & the place had an overwhelming amount of moving pieces. Overall 6.5/10 experience. Unsure if we’ll return.

My husband and I went to Blu to celebrate my birthday. The inside is stunning however we were initially seated in a long narrow dark awkward side of the restaurant that felt like a hallway, far away from the main diving area. I kindly requested the hostess to move us by the bar to enjoy a better ambiance which she was very kind enough to do. We started off with the gnocchis and crispy cauliflower for appetizers. The cauliflower was amazing 10/10 the gnocchis were okay , the sauce was good but nothing out of this world. For dinner we got the NY strip and the Delmonico. The steaks were cooked to perfection and very juicy. For sides we got the creamed spinach which was good and the lobster Mac and cheese which barely had any lobster. Our waitress wasn’t attentive at all. She barely checked in and not once asked if we needed a refill or anything else to drink from the bar. Also my husband made a birthday request but they didn’t come out with a bday dessert , which is not a deal breaker but for all the money you spend you would think they would offer something for choosing their services to celebrate a special occasion. Overall, the food is good but the place misses the inviting warm hospitality that makes customers want to go back.

From the moment you arrive at Blu on the Hudson, you’re swept into a space that feels both luxurious and grounded. Nestled along the riverfront, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline that turn any dinner into a visual celebration.

The interior design is striking — sleek, modern, and elegant, with warm lighting that creates an intimate ambiance perfect for both date nights and power dinners. The energy inside strikes that rare balance between vibrant and sophisticated.

The cuisine is where Blu truly shines. Every plate that leaves the kitchen is a testament to culinary precision and creativity. From the appetizers to the exquisitely cooked steaks, each bite reveals a deep respect for ingredients and technique.

The craft cocktails deserve their own spotlight — balanced, bold, and designed to complement the meal, not distract from it.

Service here is exceptional. Staff members move with confidence, offering recommendations without pretension and anticipating needs with grace. You’re treated like a welcome guest, not just another table.

Blu on the Hudson isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a destination. The type of place you return to when you want to mark a milestone, impress someone important, or just be reminded that dining out can still feel magical.

Came here for my birthday. The one thing that really stood out to me was the service . Probably the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. For an upscale restaurant it was quite embarrassing. We were a party of 8. There was never a server being attentive. Came on a Tuesday night. It was definitely not busy. Whoever was serving the water only served 3 people at the table water. The server was always gone for so long. Never checked on us. We ordered drinks they came 15 min later. And we had ordered a sushi for the table. We’re eating it with forks and as we’re on our last two pieces he only gives 2 people in the table chopsticks. At that point I don’t need it. Going to an upscale restaurant and paying over 100$ per person I sure do expect some good service and food. The appetizer were not very tasty. But I can say the steak and sides were very delicious . And the way they just splash the wine in the glass was also so unnecessary and messy. I don’t know if I’ll be back. Maybe for takeout lol

The food was superb the lobster mac and cheese chefs kiss! The waygu skirt steak and waygu bacon and the lamb were the best we've had. The calamari was so fresh omg we just loved everything! The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back for regular date nights.
