Great ambiance and service. We ordered sparkling wine, ribeye, and mousse to celebrate a recent event. Everything was delicious.
Be aware! They charge different amount to credit card company!
I hate to be writing this because Porter has been a local spot for us that we have enjoyed. We have had a lot of great meals here and continued to go back, despite the high prices and mediocre service. However they lost us as a customer tonight. We ordered the $85 ribeye and asked for it to be medium rare. When it came, it was completely cooked through and would have a hard time passing for medium. We eat a lot of steak and have never returned one. Usually when you order an $85 steak the restaurant ensures it is cooked to your liking. When we told the waiter, he had to go get the manager. It took 15 minutes for the manager to come out and she was combative, not apologetic and not accommodating. She told us that the chef/owner cooks the ribeyes that way. And then after going in to talk to the chef she literally came out with a raw steak with some bizarre explanation from the chef and saying how he used to work at Mark Forgione in the city (eye roll). Ultimately we decided to get something else and we were pretty shocked to see nothing was comped from the meal and no one came back out to apologize. If the chef wants to cook the meat a certain way, they should tell customers that when they are ordering. If we had been told that we could only get medium to medium well steak, we would not have ordered it in the first place. Secondly, I’ve never seen customers treated so rude. Even the table next to us couldn’t believe their reaction.
Really excellent neighborhood joint. Great bar program and delicious pizzas and perfectly cooked steaks. Service is on point and bartender is very friendly as well. If sitting at the bar, ask for Senna. She knows how to whip up your favorite cocktail. Great experience here and will be returning!
Modern American menu. Yummy oysters, a la carte, and cocktails. Also offers a good brunch menu. Prices are on the expensive side but it's a clean, comfortable and chic spot, and right next to the water if you decide to go for a walk. Good desert options too. Very friendly staff.

Even the table next to us couldn’t believe their reaction. There are many poor reviews on here, mostly related to poor customer service. The owners respond with boiler plate language with something around them not tolerating harassment from customers. Just to be clear this was absolutely not the case, we very kindly informed them of the steak being too well done.
The Best Experience/dinner hospitality I’ve had in a long time highly recommend highly!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cute and cozy restaurant. We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. The Spanish octopus and Roman potatoes are exquisite. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside with the cheese on top which adds a touch of salt. We ended with a tiramisu filled with ice cream (rather than a mascarpone cheese filling) and on which a fresh cup of coffee was poured. It was delicious. The drinks were excellent as well.
Highly Recommend. Really good service and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely return on our next trip!
Super cute, hidden gem! Nice spacious layout with bar seating and tables for a more private dining experience. Wood fired pizza oven, home made ice cream, and a nice variety of seafood, steak, and pasta. Pasta portions come in small and large sizes. You can buy pints of home made ice cream to go for only $10! Large drink menu (full bar) and decent prices over all! Will definitely go again.

Excellent dining experience. Service was attentive but not cloying, staff offered suggestions without pressure, and the restaurant decor was at once classy and relaxed. All our starters and meals were memorable, especially the pizzas and the scallop special. The desserts alone made us wish we lived closer. We’d certainly be regulars here. A very welcoming place!
What a fabulous restaurant! First of all, the decor is serene, modern and also relaxed. High ceilings, gorgeous lighting and a long open kitchen all add to the vibe. Tables are well separated. Staff is super nice, well trained and service is relaxed. The wine list is just tight enough. We enjoyed a bottle of a Vino de Nobile Riserva. Chef Lim has a lot of excellent experience, include years working for Marc Forgione. The menu changes frequently. Pizzas are individually sized and fires in a gorgeous wood fired oven. Many entrees are also coal fired. Baked oysters to start were very flavorful and I loved the crunch from the bacon and breadcrumbs. The endive and radicchio salad was simple and delightfully tasty. The swordfish special in a beurre blanc sauce was soft, delicate and just delicious. There’s also a large list of interesting cocktails and beers. Desserts are house made by pastry chef Tara, and ice cream making is also one of her passions. We shared the multi layered chocolate cake and it was really good and not too sweet. I look forward to trying the Thursday night wine tasting and also, more wonderful meals at Porter.
Was greeted promptly and given a booth which was requested. Great original waiter who took our drink and food order but there must have been an emergency for him as he left and explained someone else would be finishing as our server. She was just ok and the change seemed strange to us all. Ended up being fine but I am giving a 5 stars for the food and overall experience being exceptional! We had almost every appetizer that was available and all were great. The skirt steak is amazing and we had Norwegian Cod special which was great as well! Definitely only gets better as time goes on! Great addition to the waterfront with parking unlike Hoboken restaurants nearby.
