Ruth's Chris Steak House

Overall experience was great as usual However, I have noticed a decline in the portion sizes. The sides are usually enough for 2 persons but not anymore.

The experience was phenomenal! It was my best friend's birthday and we both love Ruth Chris so it was perfect. The tastemaker dinner is one of the best thing Ruth Chris does, and they do it well. They also gave my friend a small birthday cheesecake on the house with a candle in it! My friend loved that! Ruth Chris really takes the time to make it's patrons feel special. It's all part of the experience. They truly know how to create experiences. My servers were also all wonderful, they were diligent and thoughtful. The representative from Caymus Vineyards was so knowledgeable and friendly. She even gave my friend a lil present. Even though my home base is Jersey City, I will be at the Weehawken restaurant in the future!

Great view of the Hudson on a sunny afternoon, very attentive service from Amanda, helped to make it a memorable meal! Our steak was cooked to perfection the sides of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were delicious! Great old fashioned were served the way I like them “hold the simple syrup “ , and a very reasonable wine selection, finished off with chocolate cake! We recommend, dining here arrive early for the best tables with the best view!

We have a great time and love coming here. However, when one of the workers asked us if we wanted to pack our food and put my husband and mine mashed potatoes together. I replied no please keep them separate and he took that as not packing his at all. We didn't realize until we got home and are pretty disappointed since we were looking forward go enjoying the rest of our food. Who suggest putting two separate meals together in the first place?

Great food and service . We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a quiet atmosphere. So we had to go to Ruth Chris for the great food and ambience. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. We will definitely be back.

I absolutely enjoyed this meal at Ruth's Chris steak house. The food was perfect, drinks were perfect, the service was excellent and they were so nice and kind! The food photos speaks for itself. I had the seared ahi tuna for an appetizer and I have had this many times and I've got to say this is probably the best appetizer dish I've ever had for seared ahi tuna. My friend had the stuffed mushrooms which were absolutely amazing. For the entree my boyfriend and I shared a tomahawk steak for two Cook's rare with blue cheese crumbles on top. They sliced it off the bone for us and drizzled it in butter. This melts in your mouth. For side I had creamed spinach and he had the asparagus with hollandaise sauce. My friend had the filet mignon with shrimp and a side of creamed spinach. Her husband had a New York strip with crumbly bleu cheese on top and for a side he had the cheesy potatoes. The portions were appropriate we were stuffed. But I still had to save room for the creme brulee which is my absolute favorite dessert. And it did not disappoint. It was absolutely perfect. This was a pretty expensive meal but it was worth every penny.

Ruth Chris is always a great experience, from the food to the delicious hand crafted cocktails to the complimentary wine I was given, and the dessert. Everything was a 10/10

My cousin and I treated my brother to dinner for his birthday dinner. Our waitress was outstanding. The food and drinks were very good. The location is lovely and the restaurant ambiance is great.

Very mediocre. Soggy fries and the meat wasn't tender much. Got surf and turf and even the shrimp on it was dry and felt like it was freezer food. Wouldn't go there again.

This location has always been spot on regarding the high quality of the food and the impeccable service. We've been to many other Ruth's Chris locations, but none are as good as this one, and that's why we keep returning to this Weehawkwn, NJ location.

*MOST DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE*

On August 4th, I was meeting some friends from college at Ruth Chris which was highly recommended to us. Being that we are all culinary professionals. We were very excited and then that turned into a complete disappointment. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant so thinking that our food would come out quick and we would have great service, but that was a joke too. Their specialty cocktails were nothing but salt and tequila and by the time the entrées came out once our server asked if our attempts were OK she disappeared and didn’t return for a while out of four steaks only one was cooked properly and with two of them being upgraded steaks and one looking like a hockey puck we were told it was because the plates were 500°. We were never asked if we wanted our steaks re-cooked. The mashed potatoes were ok, Brussel sprouts were covered in bacon grease. After waiting patiently long for a server to come back finally she told us the manager would come by and they never did so once we finally were able to track them down for the bill we saw that they only took off the lobster mac & cheese, wondering and maybe one potato Even though four steaks came out and three were terrible when the manager finally did come out all he did was rush, a 25% discount off the rest of the check and thought that that would be good enough. The poor attentiveness and poor quality to the food and care of their guests was none of their business or concern And it just felt like all they wanted to do is get us out of the building as fast as possible so they can close and go home. My favorite part was as we were leaving, no staff to be seen in the building as if they were hiding from us in the kitchen.

For such a high-end steakhouse, we had such high hopes sadly, we will not be returning to this location or probably any other one.

If you do plan to eat here, I suggest making an earlier reservation so that way you’re treated with courtesy and efficiency

The food consistently receives high praise. The atmosphere is quite relaxed. The service is satisfactory, though the drinks could potentially be improved. Perhaps considering the addition of a mixologist would be beneficial.

It was a lovely environment to host my beautiful girlfriends birthday celebration. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would recommend!
