Went here because it had a 4.6 rating. I didn't find it too spectacular. It was OK but definitely not 4.6 stars. Took too long for breakfast to come out and server didn't seem to enthused to be waiting on us. I understand people may have bad days so this may have been case. But overall I would give a midgrade out me 5 stars.

Avenue Diner has that classic cozy vibe the kind of place where you just feel comfortable right away the smell of coffee and pancakes hits you as soon as you walk in I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and it was so good juicy burger perfectly toasted bun fries nice and crispy the service was super friendly too like they actually care and remember regulars the place isn’t fancy but that’s what makes it great feels real and welcoming I could totally see myself coming back for breakfast next time maybe to try their waffles everyone was talking about

I love chicken pot pies but I was super disappointed in theirs tonight. The pot pie was super bland. At 15 bucks a pop and a load of signs promoting their pot pies you would think it was super flavorful. I’ve had breakfast there with no complaints but this definitely didn’t hit. Maybe I’ll try again next time.

I want to start by saying this in one of the rare eateries that cooks REAL fresh home fries from whole potatoes. An anomaly in itself. I don't live nearby, so I've only had breakfast after Dr appts. But I would go every weekend if it was manageable. Great staff, observant and accountable management. Amazingly fresh, delicious meals and baked goods. Cozy and comfortable ambiance. Just go.

My fiancé and I ate here yesterday. We ordered the cheesesteak and fries, as well as the chicken pot pie. We left that place both with very upset stomachs that lasted the whole night. We are not sure what plate it was from because we shared bites. The chicken pot pie filling had a very unpleasant taste to it and we ended up throwing the rest out. The cheesesteak and fries tasted good. Our server and the place were nice, but the food gave us upset stomachs all night, and something seemed off with the pot pie sauce.
