Was calling around for food spots and the guy who answered the phone (maybe the owner who knows) but he wasn’t very helpful and seemed very impatient. He kept putting us on hold because he had food on the grill or was helping customers but it’s like.. get some help if you can’t handle the heat. Wish we could’ve tried this place but the phone experience alone was enough to not make us wanna stop.

I decided to stop in and try this place out and this place makes the best cheesesteaks in this area hands down! Everything was perfect Fresh bread ? just enough cheese just enough onions a ton of steak wasn't dry. Perfect Tuesday I will be doing more business here Joe and Jay they were very friendly

I really enjoyed this place. It seems like a well kept secret as it is a non-descript building along the side of the road and only does take out. The sandwiches were very good, and we tried a decent variety. I was especially impressed with the cheese steak hoagie. The atmosphere, while sterile, is enhanced by the staff, who exude a South Philly gruffness that makes for a memorable experience.

After working up an appetite at the flea market, I decided to give Jersey Joe a try and let me me say that this has to be 1 of if not the FRESHEST sandwiches ever! I love these "no frills" style places because money isn't wasted on ambiance it's spent on QUALITY ingredients, and it shows in the taste. This Italian hoagie is hard to put down and was well worth the stop.

Being born and bred in the Philadelphia area and having traveled far and wide eating my way across the country and globe, I can vouch for the quality and craftsmanship of Jersey Joe's.I would put their hoagies and cheesesteaks up against any of the top spots in Philly. The owner is from south Philly, complete with accent and Philly "tude" and everything so you know he knows what's good and what he is doing. If you don't know what you want at the counter, get out of line! Haha.Top tip, bring cash, they do not take cards, but they do have an ATM. It is also take out only.
I drove from NYC to come get these hoagies been coming since i was 8 years old the best cheesesteak and meatball sub we have ever had!! Italian is also amazing the 2 guys working are the best so friendly and fast! Must come if passing this neighborhood
