Got the vegan crab cakes and they were really good!! Had a lot of vegan options!!
So happy to have found this mostly vegan place as Cape May is not very vegan friendly/aware. We got both specials and they were super!! Watermelon gazpacho was refreshing and delicious!! Updated from previous review on 2025-07-13
Top quality organic vegan food, and a fish menu for our pescatarian friends. A nice relaxing environment with some subtle live acoustic music to accompany the meal. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
Best service we’ve received in Cape May by far. Great vegan options.
Excellent service on a special order with multiple dietary restrictions.
Flavorful and filling. Great substitutes for cheese without trying too hard to fake it. The veg options (not trying to mimic cheese) were also excellent. Desserts were also good!
As others have said, Cape May doesn’t have much in the way of vegan options. From the views here, it was clear that Good Earth and Mad Batters were our two choices. Mad Batters was ok, but not great. Lots of fried options and beyond meat subs. Good Earth, on the other had was OUTSTANDING. Everything is fresh. And it’s almost all vegan. They have a few fish dishes. We had vegan pesto bruschetta and black bean meatballs to start, followed by an excellent veggie curry on quinoa. All great. We like it so much we made a reservation for two nights later before leaving and I’m already looking forward to sampling more of their menu. Plus, it’s cute and feels very local. This place is a gem! We ordered an all-vegan catered dinner for a group of 30 people and the food was delicious, beautiful, and wonderfully fresh. We had a lovely variety of salads, appetizers, pastas, and risottos, including several gluten-free options. Our guests, many of whom are not vegan or vegetarian, were raving about the dinner and we had lots of leftovers that we ended up eating again the next day and they were still amazing on day two.
Contrano and his team were responsive, professional, and very skilled and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great catering team.
Overpriced and unseasoned :/
Very fresh and nutritious - sorely needed after eating out for a few days. We enjoyed salads and veggies with an artichoke dip (the dip wasn't seasoned enough for our taste but the salads were delicious).

Good Earth is a cute little restaurant that I think you could easily call a hidden gem. The focus is on sustainable, vegetarian food and definitely appears to be farm to table given how fresh all the food tasted.
Loved the asparagus and curry stew, veggie board (lentil dal, risotto, sauteed sprouts), salad, and the strawberry mocktail!
After a long day of walking and getting sunburnt, somehow this felt like a much needed revival!
I really wish I had room for the salmon dish as well, I'm sure that was terrific!
Is this only open seasonally? Went in November, closed...
