Benji's Taqueria Mexican Grill

The food is very delicious!, but when you call to order, they have the music so loud that they don't even bother to turn it down so that you can place a normal order... I tried twice and nothing, so well, one star for not being able to place an order.

We arrived with my family for dinner, we all ordered and the first half of a meal arrived, they finished eating and the other food from the other people had not yet arrived. We had to ask them to please give us takeaway and the staff was very terrible.

I was at this restaurant tonight, I’ve ordered from here a few times through uber eats and decided to stop by in person. They have signs advertising happy hour every day from 3pm-6pm. My fiancee and I both ordered drinks within this timeframe. When the bill came, unfortunately after paying, I realized I was overcharged for these drinks. When brought to the attention of staff, the server agreed I was overcharged but said there was nothing they could do about it. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and am waiting to hear back. Meanwhile, I tried contacting the restaurant to speak to the manager and was told by Claudia that the manager not only does not have set working hours, but that she was not allowed to “disclose personal information” such as his name. I will not be coming back here and I would advise everyone to check their bills before paying them. Terrible service.

Hate to do this but it must be done, I am such a loyal customer for over 2 years at both locations and when I tell I’ve literally spent over $2000 at this franchise. You can’t just take people money and not provide good service! West Caldwell location listens and cares about their customers, the west orange location doesn’t! I am just not going to spend my money at any location honestly! $40 and unhappy smh

This spot is sooo good! I’m happy I found a local spot for birria tacos and churros :) ! Definitely will be having often.

I always order on Uber eats and have never had an issue. Today was the first time I came and ate in the store and will NEVER come back or order again. I was overcharged and denied a refund or correction to the incorrect charge. I ordered drinks for happy hour and was expecting the price on the happy hour menu I ordered from. Upon paying I asked to correct the charges and was told no to my request even after it was confirmed that my receipt was not correct and that the difference was over $15. No refund, no correction, straight up stole my money.

Tacos were thrown in container. No limes chicken was very weird all the meat was chewy. Not happy on how the tacos were served

I placed an order over the phone, when I arrived to location the server (guy) told me that he didn't have the order. He asked me if I called the west orange location which I did. So he said, their POS. System didn't push thru the order. So if you want to order is probably best to order in person. So here I am writing this without any food.

I frequent this establishment often for lunch, dinner, and take out. This past weekend, Saturday night around 7pm I orded a few items for pick-up. First the woman at the counter shorted me $12 on the change, not a problem. The resturant wasn't too busy and there were a few other bags of food for pick-up. Didn't think to check the bag to make sure all items were in there. Get home few miles away and notice no sandwich in the bag. Called the restaurant and the woman who handled the order had a bad attitude and continued to argue they put the sandwich in the bag. Well it wasn't in my bag, between the mistake with the change and missing sandwich there's something going on here. Unfortunately I won't be retuning to benji's with the service I received.
