I recently coordinated a gala for my kids' school at The Highlawn, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, Gianna and Joel were incredibly attentive and responsive, making the planning process seamless. They were always available to answer my questions and offer suggestions, which eased a lot of the stress that typically comes with organizing an event.
The food was another highlight. Our guests raved about the delicious menu, with beautifully presented dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. It truly elevated the entire experience and left a lasting impression on everyone.
The venue itself is stunning, providing the perfect atmosphere for our gala. The combination of excellent service, delectable food, and a beautiful setting made for an unforgettable night. I highly recommend The Highlawn for anyone looking to host a successful event—it truly exceeded all of our expectations!

Do not have your wedding here. If you're looking for a sign not to, here it is. Management is a joke, they give you the run around on who makes the final decisions. They promised us a certain setup in the main room and patio then changed multiple things the day before and the day of without letting us know. When it was brought to their attention, there was not even an acknowledgment, but "you got what you paid for." Unnecessary added stress for no reason - completely unorganized and unprofessional. Please spend your money elsewhere!!

The night started off great Shakira was such a refreshing vibe. She was so friendly and engaging. As the night went on Our apps came fast but our entrees took an absurd amount of time. When our food arrived it was clearly cold. We ordered our fillet medium And it came out bloody raw Our waiter never came to check on us if we liked our food When we asked for our bill I noticed our fillet that was raw was still on our bill. Instead of making a scene I decided to take the high road and pay for the raw uncooked fillet so I would never have to set foot in here again As a person that rarely ever complains this establishment has left a terrible taste and experience in my memory. I will not be returning nor will I ever recommend to anyone

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, nice table manner and fresh food. Lobster tempura is amazing! Beef ravioli is great! Brussels sprouts would be better if it’s roasted in full/half piece. The grilled duck breast is on more plain side.

Sunday early afternoon. Poor quality food nothing special about the food, limited menu at that time of day. Never again for the food. $90.00 for 3 hamburgers, no drinks, no desserts. The dinning room smelled of “ hot spicy smoked “ food. Kitchen must be in the same room.
I get it. You pay for the priceless view. The food does not match the exceptional park. So my out of town guests were thrilled with the area… they left NJ without memory or the food.. just the view. I get it. Very nice staff.

Truly a magical experience hosting the 2024 Wave Awards!! everything from booking the event, to the follow up, to the prep before the event, the staff, the service, the food, the drinks, the venue and the views, and the after party at the bar downstairs were a five star experience. Highly recommend!!! A truly magnificent experience!! Also because I was so busy hosting the event and did not have a chance to enjoy dinner they even packed me a doggy bag with all the delicious tastings.

my wife and i had our wedding reception here 14yrs ago at the original highlawn pavilion. we remembered the food, ambience to be excellent. we thought it would be a great opportunity to come back and celebrate our anniversary and experience it again. while the view of the nyc skyline is spectacular and the ambience was great, the food did not match unfortunately. the appetizers: lobster tempura , tuna tartare, and raw oysters were underwhelming. the main courses (dover sole, truffle chicken) were not memorable. service was slow as it felt as if our waiter was a bit overwhelmed with many other tables. we skipped dessert because we felt disappointed by the previous courses. we had hoped to make this an annual tradition but after our recent experience, the prices just doesn’t justify the quality of the food served.

This is a very elegant restaurant with beautiful views and excellent service. However, one small detail we noticed was that the napkin fabric left lint on our clothes, which was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, everything else was exceptional.

My husband and I went to the Highlawn to celebrate our anniversary. What a great choice of venue! The staff was so friendly and accommodating - there was a congratulatory card on the table, the wait staff brought us complimentary Prosecco drinks and placed a sparkler in our dessert. It was such fun- the hostess from Brazil took our photo and made sure we were happy with everything . And the food.... incredible, innovative and delicious. Fabulous sushi chef made our appetizer. Five stars to this landmark restaurant in every category. The final point- the best Cappucino!!
