I drove from Boston to New Jersey for the Memorial weekend, i intended to vigorously eat my country made cuisine and Lakay Restaurant met all expectations. The ingredients was purely implemented with love and the right dosage. The griot was well fried, the djondjon rice had the authentic taste. The manager accommodated my patience with a Haitian mac and cheese(Delicious). The only recommendation is that the menu is not displayed whether digitally or physically but if you know your Haitian Meal that is the place to be.

We got the large turkey and chicken dishes (I forget their names) but the amount and quality of food we were served for what we paid for was EXCELLENT! Tons of people were also coming in/out to pick up orders. I highly recommend visiting Lakay!

The people that work here are very nice and friendly, and the owner is an Amazing person but the food is horrible tasteless and bland. I’ve ordered here multiple times and every time I order no matter what I get the food has no flavor no seasoning no spice no herbs no taste. They put corn in their legume like who does that Don’t order food from here it’s a waste of time and money
