Food was very good however the service was a bit slow, understood because it was packed due to the holiday weekend.
They were super nice and did not rush us even though they close at 9 and our reservation was for 8:30! Food was awesome

Good place. Expected better! Great decor and very shore vibe. Food was good. My wife had lobster risotto balls. She said they were good but no lobster and not much risotto and didn’t really taste red peppers. I had shrimp and crab fried rice it was good. I would have rated food probably a 4 and we would go back! I would recommend just don’t get lobster risotto balls. Our waitress was pleasant but rushed and it really wasn’t that crowded when we were there a little after 3pm. I asked her for a water for my wife who was in bathroom and a beer. My beer came out quickly and when she came back my wife was at table and ordered a drink and another water. We also ordered my wife ordered and I then asked what specials were she said I’m really not sure. She didn’t go to find out. So I just ordered. I watched the 2 tables next to us and the waiter and waitress came to there tables with a board with specials and read to there customers. I listened so did my wife and I would have ordered one of the apps and my wife would have ordered one of the entrees instead of what she ordered. She came back after our meals were there and I asked for another beer and for the 3rd time for a water for my wife which she still didn’t get yet after asking 3 times! While my wife was still eating dinner she asked us if we wanted dessert. Which is sort of like rushing us out. So service wasn’t stellar. By the way my wife had a lavender martini and it was tremendous! I hate giving a 3 star but didn’t live up to expectations but will definitely give another chance!

Last night I had the shrimp cocktail and king crab legs. Both were delicious.
Next month in March will be my anniversary for 2 years of being a member of the Chowder House. Last night was my 40th visit so I am a strong fan of this wonderful restaurant.

Local restaurant with good seafood and a large selection of non-seafood as well. My wife loves the lobster bisque. I’m not a seafood eater and there’s plenty on the menu for me to choose from. Recommend to anyone looking for fresh seafood as good prices.

Visiting from out of town and had to stop by. The crab soup was delicious and the service by Joan was amazing!! She provided exceptional service, she was kind and knowledgeable regarding the menu and recommend some great bites. Stop by and chow down.

I definitely recommend Marblehead Chowder House! There are so many options to choose from! I love that they prepare your seafood selection anyway you want! Blackened Salmon is my favorite! Mini pierogie with Lobster Dip is delicious! I have only had exceptional, friendly service!
The oysters were amazing! We went on a Tuesday oysters, shrimp and clams were $1 each!
The lobster bisque was one of the best I’ve ever had. They offered an additional shot of sherry for $1. I didn’t think it needed it as it was very flavorful.
The chopped salad with green goddess dressing was great. My main was a 5oz lobster tail with a pound of snow crabs all were done perfectly and very tasty! We can’t wait to go back.
We were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their entry. Others got stuffed shrimp, clams with linguini, twin lobster tails and snow crabs.
Dessert we shared funnel fries with Carmel sauce and chocolate sauce. Everyone left happy!
