Cap'N Cats was a Favorite of our family, especially my Dad and mines, when I was a kid in the 70s. I hadn't been there in years. So, on My Dad's birthday I brought my Mom there for Clams on the Half shell, and a Fried Oyster platter. The platters were large in portion. So much so, we had platters for the next day. }

Nothing fancy but good food cold beer and great service. Decent prices
The other night we came in for dinner, it had been a while since we came for a meal. We ate in the bar area. The service was good even with a full room. I started with the New England clam chowder followed by the whole Dungeness whole crab. My hubs got the same whole crab. The side of coleslaw is a nice added crunch. The bill wasn't terrible, we also skipped on the alcohol. The hubs thought the crab was a little overcooked.

The oysters Rockefeller are so good! Bartender is very friendly and attentive. We got food to go from the seafood shop which was also delicious.

I've eaten twice at the bar here with a friend and both times we enjoyed it. Both times we tried a few different things off the menu and everything was great! We've also grabbed soup to go and that was all very tasty. I've never dined in at a table but I'm sure it's comparable! Not sure if the menu is any different. Our service has always been excellent too! Id say it's a seafood dive bar. And I like that about it.
