I love this diner. The service is always very friendly and the food is better than most diner food in my opinion, but the thing that really sets them apart are the soups. I have been a couple times and they always seem to have 6-10 soups a day. If you like soups and can't decide which one to get, try a soup flight and get 3 different ones. It's always clean inside and the staff make you feel like family. The only downside is the parking lot can be a little tricky to navigate because it's small and a little tight. But don't let that scare you, go get some soup!

I have never witnessed any restaurant hostess as ignorant as the one there. I know she is new…. But the ignorance is intolerable..
I watched a man stand there, waiting on food for at least 25 minutes, turned out he was working with DoorDash.
The hostess said they turned off the iPad . Well, that doesn’t stop orders from coming in.. he was trying to explain that to her. That she actually had to pause orders and then turn it off.. she didn’t wanna hear it. She kept on yelling at him that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about… but he was actually right. The customer was apparently calling him the whole time he was there yelling at him.. I guess because she went through DoorDash it was his fault when it wasn’t at all..
Watching the interaction and how she treated him was appalling . The man was trying to help her, but instead, she was rude and yelling at him.
How did I see what was going on? Because the entire time I sat there waiting for a waitress.. and none ever came to take care of me either.. she was too busy yelling at this gentleman to even notice I sat there for 25 minutes without being served. The Piston used to be decent.. the food has gone downhill… the service has gone downhill… the staff has become rude. I don’t know if it’s because other diners in the area have shut down so they think they don’t have to “compete” anymore or what.. either way, after the service I just had and what I just watched. I would never step foot in there again.
The word, rude and ignorant does not even begin to explain it . I don’t know who that host is thinks she is, but here customer service matters. Doesn’t matter if it’s a DoorDash driver or if it’s me, a paying customer.. to yell at anyone and cause a scene is not how things work in the restaurant industry. I’ve always thought I could learn anything from anyone.. someone may know more than me, she obviously didn’t think so. Since that is what she kept yelling at the man…” you don’t know what you’re talking about”. I recognize the man…. He’s the man that owned the restaurant that did all the charity work globally during Covid…. So yes. Sometimes it pays to take advice from others.. but you have to listen and not be rude and ignorant.

Family went for breakfast and we all got different things my son got loaded fries(i kown for breakfast) he didnt see it came with BBQ sauce until plate came out i traded him with my cream chipped beaf he loved it! Of course i loved the loaded fries and my other son had a waffle he claims best waffle hes ever had..the service was amazing and always kept attention to whatever we needed and everyone was nice and over all experience was amazing i will be going back only complaint is they need to expand!! Good food and amazing service makes this place popular!!
