Speranza Wood-Fired Italian Kitchen

My friend requested we go here to celebrate her birthday. We were disappointed. We had a party of 6, and the seating was uncomfortable; tables are too close together. It took an inordinate amount of time to get out of my seat because the table behind me was so close, I was bumping into their chairs. Now for dinner... very pricey for what you get... about 50 cents worth of pasta and maybe $1.50 worth of chicken (I'm being very generous here) for the rigatoni a la vodka. The dish is priced at $28; the portion was generous, but that's all you get! No salad, and there isn't even a side salad on the menu. The sauce was good, but nothing to write home about, and the rigatoni was tough. I like al dente... this was tough. The bread brought to the table was stingy, but it didn’t matter because no one liked it. We had 5 adults and 1 child, who had chicken fingers and fries. Two people had one cocktail each, three people had soft drinks, and four people had dessert. Our bill, with tip, was $320! That's $53/person for a so-so Italian meal in an uncomfortable setting. We saw a lot of pizza being picked up, so maybe the pizza is really good, but we won't be back.

Wonderful service. Very attentive and kind waiter. The cacio e pepe, however, was so unbelievably salty it was very nearly inedible. This wasn't just salt from the cheeses, this amount of salt tasted like an entire box of salt fell over into the dish. I brought it home hoping someone in the house would enjoy it, and no one could handle the saltiness.

First time! Nicole excellent server, Bartender made amazing drinks. Sorry don’t know his name. Lobster ravioli awesome, spaghetti and crabs delicious, veal piccante excellent! Highly recommend. Thank you Nicole.

Found them on google, in the area bc my aunt is in the hospital out here at Virtua OLOL… dope hospitality, food was delicious, i was the only one at the bar too Lol… no complaints, definitely coming back… their green tea shots are fire🔥🔥 btw 💯💯

We will be back! We searched Google to find a new spot to try and this one hit the mark! Its high rating is well-deserved. Between the 3 of us we enjoyed rice balls to start and 3 different entrees: the salmon, chicken Marsala & a stromboli. All of us agreed we'd come back for the same thing and also to try to others. Yum indeed!!

Every staff member here deserves a raise! My boyfriend and I dined here Saturday night and everything was perfect. As soon as we walked in (without reservations) we were greeted by the hostess who was very friendly and accommodating. She seated us right away, and let us know if we wanted to switch tables when a new one opened up, she could move us. Well im glad we didnt because our waitress Amanda was amazing! She took our order, gave suggestions when asked, and even suggested something that I didnt even think of substituting and it was a great idea! She came over to us frequently (it was very busy, but she kept it moving staying on top of all of her tables) and her personality made everything so comforting and welcoming. It felt like we were eating at a family members home! The bartender was Billy from Philly and had an excellent personality as well. He made a drink that my boyfriend really enjoyed and kept ordering them lol. The food was out of this world! Its really hard to find a place with a good atmosphere, good customer service and good food, but this hidden gem hit every base and totally blew everyone else out of the water! Will most definitely be back to eat in the near future. Go dine here! You will not be disappointed

Pleasantly surprised. Inside is warm and inviting. Our waitress was attentive and gracious. Our food was delicious and the price was affordable. Will definitely be back.
