I’ve always liked this restaurant until the last two times I went Disappointed in the quality of the food quality. I Usually get the same thing and The last two times, they were very inconsistent

So I wasn't going to leave a review but I think people should know this. My family and I ordered food to go for our Christmas dinner, including edamame. My son was having some and all of a sudden said mom whats this and he had a darn maggot in his hand. It had some from inside the edamame pod and he luckily pops them out before eating it. I called the restaurant and they stated the edamame is stored in big bins and thats what it would've come from where they receive it from. They did refund me a portion of my purchase which I appreciate but it is still disgusting and horrible and I hope they throw away the edamame they have and find a better distributor and better way to store it!

Ordered takeout at Hanami in Westwood as I wanted Chinese.
What a disappointment.
Crispy egg roll not crispy.
Fried pork dumplings burnt and hard as a rock.
And chicken chow mein had no taste.

UPDATE: idk who you’re talking about (I don’t see any Mr. Kim.) If youre just being racist, SHAME ON YOU. Maybe instead of being defensive and accusing someone with their genuine review, why don’t you reflect on ways to improve your restaurant. I am not the only one leaving one star review for a reason!

Had high expectations but was very disappointed. Food lacked flavor. Portion size was VERY small for the price. I’m very confused to why they are highly rated. It was a sad experience for me.

Very disappointed how they manipulated me to buy the most expensive dish. I called for a takeout to try for the first time and asked for a recommendation. I come home to 7 piece medium size shrimp for $25…… their take out portion was so tiny and the scallion pancakes were horrible. Will not recommend this place.

We've been dining here since they opened and this is the first unsatisfactory experience we've had. Our table was sticky which they solved be using napkins as place mats. WRONG!!! Our appetizers came before we had finished our soup. WRONG Our main course came before we had finished our appetizers. WRONG Hopefully, it will be better next time.

$18.00 for a rainbow roll that is basically a california roll and two tiny pieces of fish ontop?Uncle Giuseppe's has a rainbow roll that's an entire meal for $4 cheaper. Place has become a joke it used to be my staple spot

Food was good but expensive. I went on a Monday for lunch so I could get the lunch special price. I asked the completely Asian and foreign staff about the lunch special price. They said it was a holiday. I was wondering what Chinese holiday would they feel the need to eliminate the discount? They replied it was Martin Luther King no discount on egg rolls apparently @#28##6

Manager was extremely rude. I was talking on my phone with only one person in the restaurant and she ran over and said repeatedly too loud too loud too loud. I had beef with onions. The beef was all tough. Had a tech Dan, which the tuner is supposed to be thinly sliced and it was thick all for $115. I would not recommend this restaurant very rude staff and extremely rude manager.

Our experience at Hanami in Westwood, NJ was very disappointing. The waiters kept bothering us and watching us constantly to see if we had finished eating. It was obvious they wanted us to pay and leave as quickly as possible, which made the whole meal uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. We won’t be coming back — it’s a shame because the food wasn’t bad, but the service completely ruined the visit.
