We are so glad to be able to enjoy the talents of Chris D'Eletto again. We just had our family Christmas get together catered from Jack's Cafe. It was absolutely amazing with something for everyone. Whether you choose a weekend dinner or their catering, you can't go wrong.

The breakfast was good and the service was great. It wasn't busy for a Monday morning when my husband and I stepped in. We were able to sit right away and the food came out within 10 minutes or less. The server was attentive and the prices were reasonable. The only thing I would have liked was more home fries- they were made crispy just as I asked. Overall Jack's Cafe is a nice place to get a bite to eat, If were in Westwood again we will definitely be back.Parking: Parking is right across the street at the Westwood station.

Jack's has been a staple whenever I come to NY/NJ to see the parents. Food: - Brie bites, egg wrap, avocado toast with steak. The food was good and the Brie bites were a nice change as we've never had them before. Warm Brie is delicious and the bites certainly hit the spot. The toast with steak was also very good. I have had steak many times and Jack's and have always enjoyed it. The egg wrap was ok, the wife wasn't crazy about but can't quite pinpoint why. The home fries are also very good! - Drinks: What you'd expect from a diner. We had soda and coffee and had no complaints. It's what we expected. - Service: One the main reasons we continue to come here is because of the excellent service. Every staff member is kind, attentive, and overly friendly. For me, this is Jack's best quality. - Atmosphere: Love that they have a large outdoor tent. It's off the busy road and comfortable. We will continue to come back to Jack's when we are in town.

Amazing quality food and one of a kind staff. Met the owners recently at my job and holy moly - such down to earth and sweet humans! Love their vibe they have going down at Jack's and would recommend them out of every place to eat in Westwood.

What a great impromptu find when lunch was needed. The menu may have been simple, but this was no ordinary diner. Everyone's food was top notch: this place could go toe to toe even with the best gastropubs out there on the freshness and execution. Prices were a touch high, but nothing out of the ordinary in this crazy economy, and well worth the satisfaction of everyone in our party that day.

OMG we had the absolute best lunch today at Jacks. We used to eat there frequently before covid. This time there were different faces in the kitchen and they didn't have their fantastic lobster roll but their food was great and the waitress was very sweet and more than helpful. My question is Do They Deliver????

Decades ago, when I lived in the area, this was a tiny diner in the shadows of a huge diner! Now it's a cafe, great place for lunch (probably for breakfast or dinner as well!). I was getting together with a group of former colleagues, and one of my friends chose this place for 2 good reasons - the spacious tent out back, and the fact that it's right across the street from the train station so I could easily get there from the City. We are 5 persons "of a certain age" , so being outside in this covid era felt safest; the inside of this restaurant is tiny (maybe 6 or 8 booths or tables). They set up a lovely round table and we were the only group out there! Three of us had the dillberry chicken salad. This was a huge portion of chicken salad on a bed of greens. I believe all of them took home part of their lunches! One person had an omelet that came with home fries. The menu said breakfast items served only until 12, and it was about 12:30 or so, but they graciously accommodated her. I really enjoyed my portobello sandwich with cheese (I think provolone and pepper jack), tomato, jalapeño, pesto and vinaigrette. I chose multigrain bread (there are several bread choices for the sandwiches) and asked for very little pesto and vinaigrette because I don't care for soggy sandwiches, and it was just perfect. Good glass of unsweetened iced tea, and we had a large pitcher of ice water on the table. The menu is varied, with sandwiches, salads, and platters, meat and vegetarian options, beverages. Each of us at our table was entirely satisfied with her meal! There are several restaurants in Westwood, and this is a good choice for a casual lunch.

Greatly disappointed with this recommendation we found on Yelp! Went for lunch, had avocado toast with grilled chicken & my husband had a cheesesteak sandwich & 2 coffees. Aside from the food being below average, we were shocked at the excessive cost for what we ate! I understand it is inflationary times but the bill can to $50 (with tip). They had the audacity to charge us an additional 3% credit card fee (without telling us up front) on top of the excessive cost of the meal. This was lunch not dinner & it was nothing fancy...very basic. My husband & I eat out a lot & never question prices as long as the food quality is there. In addition the interior of the restaurant which had a retro style felt like it was in dire need of a facelift & felt dingy. This place is truly a ripoff & I would never go back nor recommend this restaurant to anyone!! BTW I rarely write reviews but I can't get this experience out of my mind.

Wonderful choices of soups homemade ad delicious. I placed an order for 1qr crab bisque and 1 order of lobster ravioli and was floored by the price of $54. My fault no prices posted and I did not ask. Very friendly staff

Went on a Sunday at 12:30pm.Inside wasn't too busy. There is a tent to eat at the backside of restaurant and 2 person tables in the front of the place.Getting food was a little slow but it was good.Had a spinach wrap filled with scrambled eggs, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and pesto.

We ordered take out for lunch. Food was very good. Cheesesteak was tasty. Turkey with brie was delicious. Fries were crispy.

If it wasn't for the good service of our waiter, Christian, this place would have gotten zero stars. I brought my mom in for dinner tonight around 6pm. It started with her ordering a cup of decaf coffee that turned gray after adding half a small pitcher of milk. That was replaced with a fresh cup that was better. On the blackboard, they listed half a dozen soups as that day's specials. I don't know if they make the same batch of soup and serve it day after day until the vat runs dry but the crab bisque was absolutely sour, like it made you throw up in your mouth. she then ordered the evening's special, seafood meuniere, which when brought to the table, were two enormous fishcakes smothered in sauteed onions, which wasn't part of the description. well, they must have used the same crab they used to make the bisque because, again, it was literally sour. no exaggeration. sour. so i complained about that too. Jack came to the table and from behind where we were sitting, asked how we liked our meal. He didn't even have the courage to look at us eye to eye. i said, we didn't and explained why. when the check was dropped off, only the soup was removed. the nerve to charge me the full price for the seafood meuniere was astonishing but I didn't feel like arguing. As a restauranteur, he should know better. there are so so many better places to eat in Westwood. shame on him.
