I was up for a work visit in the area, and my coworker and I decided to have lunch there. Very good food. Presentation was excellent. I was really impressed with the decoration and style of the place, definitely top-notch. We met the owner and he was such a delightful person to meet and talk to.I cannot recommend it enough; everything is perfect.
We will defiantly be back. The food, the service and the ambience 5 stars. Update, came back! So much fun. And Chrissy singing was Devine. Loved every minute here.
Six of us went here for the first time for a birthday. The food tasted excellent. However, the service was terribly slow. We even had to wait for menus after being seated. Once we finished our main course (we did not order appetizers) we waited a while to have the table cleared. Only after stacking our plates at the edge of the table and flagging down someone to get our water refilled did they take the plates. We then were stuck waiting to see a dessert menu, which never appeared. When we realized that we had been there for almost 2 and a half hours we finally managed to flag down our server, who apologized and informed us they had some staff call out sick. The staff did seem busy, but they also seemed to lack some efficiency. Having waited so long we asked for the check, and were provided a selection of small desserts on the house, along with an apology. We also ended up waiting to pay, and the server we initially handed the check to seemed to have trouble splitting it between cards. All told we arrived as the 2nd table of the night at 5:30 and left at 8:10 after 1 course, 1 round of drinks, and a small dessert. The rating would have been lower but the apology, the clearly overworked staff, and the quick complementary dessert tray, (they also provided the Birthday Girl an ice cream dessert,) all redeemed the experience somewhat. As did the excellent flavors and preparation of the food. The attached photo is of the NY Strip with roasted potatoes and peppers.
Second time at CJ Steakhouse and couldn't be more pleased. We're big fans of Rails and Stone Water and this restaurant is on par with the quality of food but possibly even better service than the other two.
We stopped in for Friday cocktails and stayed for dinner. Amazing clams and the Brussel spouts were delicious. We will be back. A refreshing upscale restaurant for wharton
Great food! Great service! Love the dark chocolate gelato! For the cut of meat you get, not overpriced at all. Same like Washington, DC.
We had THE BEST anniversary dinner this weekend at CJ Steakhouse. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was exceptional, hot, and timely. We started with the Tuna Tartare and the Milk Bread (which was recommended by the staff…and did not disappoint!). We both got Rib Eye steaks, which were cooked to perfection and insanely delicious. The wild mushrooms were to die for, and the twice baked potato was huge!If you’re thinking about going, don’t hesitate! You won’t be disappointed.
Very nice interior , wallet parking. We did not have reservations but was able to dine in. Starter were calamari and roasted beets . We ordered medium rare steaks. Steaks come out charred, burned outside, giving off taste to the meat. I have talked to the owner, to give guest option to have it seared only and then cooked with less charring.
Enjoyed our off night Valentine's Day dinner at CJ Steakhouse. It was our first time there, although we have been to this location when it was Hot Rod's BBQ. The food was great, service was friendly and great, and the atmosphere is really, really nice. They have a large wrap around bar so you can get drinks or eat at the bar. They have a large open dinning around as well as a private room to accommodate large groups or for parties. I have heard that CJ Steakhouse is overpriced, and while some of the steaks are quite pricey, there are plenty of options on the menu that are very reasonably priced. The menu also has a fairly large selection so you should be able to find something you like, regardless of your tastes! I briefly spoke with the General Manager who said they have recently opened up for lunches.
I've gone here 2 times. The food is delicious and I really enjoy the house drinks. The meats are all well seasoned and cooked. the appetizers I've tried so far are delicious, especially the calimari. The lavender gin drink taste really good and I don't like gin.The best part is the service, they are very friendly, inviting, and attentive. We plan to visit at least biweekly just on that alone.I also really like the look of the restaurant. It's not too dim, very spacious, and designed beautifully.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch at CJ Steakhouse! He had a juicy burger with her Ed potatoes with a beer and I had seared salmon with winter vegetable in broth with a glass of rose. Delicious and very reasonably priced for the polar opposite of a fast food meal at midday! The restaurant looks like a place you'd find in NYC and service was very good. Since they've just started serving lunch, we just walked in...Will have to make a reservation to return for dinner!
Our first time at CJ Steakhouse and I must say it was outstanding! The Valentine's day special included champagne for two and a rose for the lady! The food was delicious! I had steak and my wife had the salmon ( I've had filet mignon which wasn't as good! ) Both were excellent! The restaurant was well set up with a large bar. The piped music was low, not overlymingly The staff was super attentive.
We really enjoyed having dinner at CJ’s. This was our first time visiting and the service and food were amazing. The host Brian welcomed and checked on us throughout the evening. We opted to sit at the bar instead of a table which Marty our bartender provided us with great service. After our food was served (absolutely amazing btw) the chef Dave came out and we expressed how much we enjoyed the meal. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Excellent food, service, ambiance a NYC restaurant feel but a located close to home.
We had an incredible lunch here on Tuesday! They did a great job renovating and achieved a very classy cozy space. Everything was spotless, the food was amazing, spectacular service, and the craft cocktails are superb! I’m looking forward to going back very soon!
