Came here at 7 o’clock when they close at 8:30. Stood there looking at the menu for 5 minutes while the worker just stared at us and then was finally told they were closed. 1 hour and 30 minutes early? This is why this place has terrible reviews.

Ordered over the phone for pick up. Asked for 2 chicken tender meals both with fries with one of the orders of fries being well done. I had to repeat and explain the order 3 times as it seemed like the woman taking the order either wasn’t paying attention or not understanding. My fiancé picked up the order and the total was almost $32!!! For 2 meals?!? He got the food home, opened the bag, and we found 2 chicken tender meals with fries and an EXTRA order of fries, none of which were well done. No corn bread or biscuits like advertised with meals. The tenders were dry. Fries were soggy and not even full pieces of fries. Super disappointed on the quality of food for the price. We probably won’t be ordering from here any longer.

This place needs to be shut down. Second time I come here with my family and it’s just deserted! Looks like there is only 2 people working behind the counter and the chick who took my order was on her phone the whole time! Wayyy overpriced!!! I ordered chicken tenders and had to ask the lady to please give me a new order of tenders because the ones they gave me were dried and burnt. Second batch came out and you couldn’t event rip the tenders apart. I threw everything away at that point. Again, second time there and they still didn’t have biscuits on the menu??? Come on. NEVER AGAIN!!!Aside

The prices online is not what is reflected on the website .For example the jerk chicken dinner is $13.99 online and the business charged me $14.55 I asked the person working the counter and she said the price is different due to taxes . I took her word for it . I did the math at home and it does not . I was charged an addition $2.50 by inflating the price on each item except one . That’s considered theft if you multiply this by 10 costumers that’s an addition $25 in the businesses pocket. That is not right I’m all for small businesses but don’t take advantage of the customers. Hopefully the management sees this and will make the changes.

Ordered the 12 piece family meal…chicken was very crispy with good flavor. The sides were fantastic (mac&cheese, baked beans and plantains). The price seemed a bit high but after seeing the portion size and 5-6 pieces of corn bread, it was worth it.I gave it 5 stars based on the food and portion size but I did experience some of the same complaints as others…girl at the counter was on her phone the entire time. It took 30 minutes to make the chicken but now I know to order ahead.

The jerk chicken is ridiculously spicy I couldn’t even it eat. Fries not crisp. Banana pudding was good though.

I am not sure about the service because this was an Uber eats order, but the food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered the jerk chicken and after just one bite we threw our food away. It was extremely salty, basically inedible. Stay away from the jerk chicken ?

Skip it. Go elsewhere. Had spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Service was good. Food medicare at best. Unfortunately I can't recommend anything. Soda machine was broken. No napkins at the table or counter, had to clean my hands with what I had in a car ?. I'm pretty sure this place have seen better days and seems about to retire if it's not dead already. Wish you guys best.

today was the first time i came here. the woman working the counter who took my order must have been having the worst day of her life. she told me i couldn't order things that were on the menu such as an 8 piece bucket, onion rings, and biscuits. also told me each meal comes with 1 side so i couldn't order cornbread even though that's a lie and my food came with the cornbread and fries. the food itself: the mac has absolutely no seasoning and neither does the chicken. it's moist, for sure, but not even a sprinkle of seasoning to be found. was really disappointed. would have gave this place a second chance if not for the woman who took my order. will never come back here and will definitely tell others not to either.

We called in our order over the phone for pick up. Ordered a chicken family meal, half fried half rotisserie. Showed up about 30-40 min after we placed the order. It was a Saturday evening and the place was dead, not one customer eating inside. There were two employees, one person cooking and one person at the register/counter. Upon my arrival I was told by the girl at the register that she didn't write down one of the sides we wanted. I told her it was the vegetables that were missing. She said she would have the cook make it. 20 minutes later they were done, then just before she rang me up, she decided to tell me they were out of rotisserie chicken and she gave us all fried chicken and asked if it was OK. Why didn't she say that on the phone or when I arrived? Also the entire time I was there waiting for my food, the girl was on her cell phone having a personal phone call with the other person on speaker or video. Even while ringing me up, other person still on her cell phone. This used to be a really good place. Not sure what happened, but I'm soooo disappointed because it was a great place that our family loved. Hope they get it together and figure out how to turn it around.

Pop's Chicken in New Jersey is a hidden gem that brings a delightful twist to classic fast food fare. From the moment I walked into the cozy restaurant, the tantalizing aroma of sizzling chicken and grilled burgers filled the air, promising a scrumptious dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the burgers. Oh, what a treat it was! Pop's Chicken offers a range of mouthwatering burgers that cater to every taste. The Classic Cheeseburger, with its juicy patty and perfectly melted cheese, was a nostalgic delight. The BBQ Bacon Burger, smothered in tangy barbecue sauce and topped with crispy bacon, was a flavor explosion that left me wanting more. But what truly made my visit exceptional was the outstanding service from our wonderful waitress, Lily. Her warm and attentive demeanor made us feel like valued customers from the moment we walked in. Lily's knowledge of the menu and her genuine enthusiasm for Pop's Chicken's offerings were evident as she guided us through the burger choices, making excellent recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. In addition to the delectable burgers, the restaurant also offers a variety of flavorful chicken dishes that are equally enticing. From the crispy chicken tenders to the savory grilled chicken sandwiches, each dish showcases the restaurant's dedication to quality and taste. The casual and inviting ambiance at Pop's Chicken makes it the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal with friends or family. In conclusion, Pop's Chicken is a must-visit for burger lovers in New Jersey. With its mouthwatering burgers, exceptional service from the wonderful waitress Lily, and a menu that celebrates both chicken and beef delights, it's a dining experience that will leave you with a smile. Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through, Pop's Chicken guarantees a delightful and fulfilling meal that you won't forget.

2xs now I ordered 2 orders of 16 piece chicken for my staff lunches. We ordered ahead, we ordered online. Both times we go in when order says it's ready and the 2 women didn't even put the chicken in the fryer until we walked in. So instead of being able to enjoy the lunch with my staff, due to me waiting so long to pick up food AFTER I received a text that the order was ready, I spent my lunch time at their counter waiting for the food. Almost 170 in the last 2 weeks for staff lunch and they don't even start cooking it until I walk in. I even showed them the text notification that I received that my order was ready for pickup and their answer was....well it's not and we will start cooking it now. It takes me 20 mins to drive there from my business, and then I have to wait another 25 mins while they cook pre-ordered chicken? Nah...this is the last time I'll order from there. Stop sending notifications that an order is ready for pickup when it's not even been cooked yet!! (And that's with not 1 customer in the place)
