Hubby and I dined at Cavu last week (9/7-9/10) several times while we were staying at the Pan American hotel. Our first meal was dinner after traveling in from out of town. We were skeptical because often restaurants connected to hotels aren’t the best. We were so pleasantly surprised. That first meal My dad and I had the Cavu burger, hubby the Pork belly, and my mom had the Chicken parm. Before the entrees arrived, our server brought a wooden board of fresh focaccia bread that was accompanied with oh so slightly cooked cherry tomatoes and garlic cloves that were like little cloves of butter and olive oil. That board was an absolute delight. So much so we had to ask for another before the entrees came out. In addition I asked to have a little bowl of those garlic cloves. 🥰 The Entrees- The burgers were perfectly cooked, delicious and big that both of us had packed half for leftovers. They were accompanied by what i first thought were chips. But they were in fact like a combination of potato chip and steak fry. They were perfectly browned and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I went further and smeared some of the garlic cloves onto the potatoes- chefs kiss!!😘 Hubby enjoyed the pork belly immensely! So tender and juicy accompanied with roasted brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Mom’s chicken parm was prefect! too many places make the chicken dry and have challenges with the pasta that accompanies. Not Cavu- the chicken was perfectly breaded and juicy and the pasta and marinara sauce was perfect and flavorful. All in all an absolutely delicious dinner. I even got 2 little sauce cups filled with the garlic cloves- which i ate with my left overs and spread on my next morning bagel! We had another dinner there a few nights later. Hubby had the chicken fajitas, mom got the alfredo pasta, i got the shrimp alfredo and dad got the chicken parm with special request that the pasta be tossed in garlic & olive oil. Another night of amazing food! every entree was perfection. We also enjoyed the dessert donuts which was a perfect close to a wonderful meal. Our last morning hubby and i went to Cavu for breakfast. Hubby had a mexican omelet and i had the Sweet Tooth. OMG! big big portions. And absolutely delicious! The waitstaff are so sweet. We got to meet The owners - Chef Carlos and his wife Laura . So kind and looking to continuously improve and evolve this new restaurant. When we go back to Wildwood Crest- we will definitely be back!
We stayed at the Pan American and for convenience we tried CAVU which is inside the hotel. (A BYOB :)Dinner the day we arrived - we had the shrimp tacos for our appetizer and the chicken fajitas for our main course. Absolutely delicious! We liked it so much we had our next two breakfasts here. Everything we tried was 5 stars. We especially loved the home fried potatoes with breakfast. A must try. You won't be disappointed!!

What a pleasant surprise to find Cavu BYOB on our last night of vacation! The atmosphere has a nice vibe and it is immaculate. Our food was delicious and the presentation looked as though a lot of thought and care went into it. We both had the crab cakes. Very good flavor and served with well prepared fresh carrots and broccolini. Laura, who runs the front (her husband is the chef), made the foccia for the table and she also makes the desserts. We had the creme brulee which had fresh fruit and real whipped cream on top. Both were delicious. I highly recommend a visit to Cavu. We will definitely be back!

Had dinner here with a large group and the service was great and the food was even better. We had a party of 11 and every one of us enjoyed our meal! The buffalo chicken egg rolls and chicken panini were to die for. Would recommend to anyone in wildwood crest to come and try!

Went at 10 am no one was in the place. I was like okkkk. Then the water did not speak English and was had to get the order and food was not good for that price. Like I mean it’s wildwood not stone harbor with the price they charges.
Wow what a waste of a family vacation restaurant
We had a wonderful breakfast this morning, 7/1/25, at Cavu. The food was amazing and I had the best western omelette ever. It was cooked perfectly with a great and generous ratio of ham, peppers, and onions. Their western omelette does come with cheese which I prefer. Their potatoes/home fries are perfectly seasoned and again, have just the right ratio of potato, peppers, and onion. My daughters had waffles and they were very pleased. My mother-in-law had blueberry pancakes. They were tasty and huge. she gave me a piece and it was delicious. Overall, we liked our breakfast a lot. We will be back and we will probably try the dinner menu at some point this summer.
Dinner was sooo good. The flavors were on point. The portions were very generous. We ate outside overlooking the pool- very nice resort style dining. The service was very friendly and precise.
This is a hidden gem in Wildwood Crest. If you’re considering giving it a try—- go; you will not be disappointed.

What a complete turn around from last summer. The food is soooo much better. You can tell when there is a real chef as the person running the place. Kinda sad that I had to go home and not able to have this goodness of food near me. If you keep up the good work like you are now I can see you doing big things here. -Ryan

I use to come to the Pan Am restaurant all the time as a child so going back with my own family was something I wanted to do. Unfortunately, our experience with the new restaurant was not memory worthy. I made a reservation online and requested the patio for seating. Once we arrived no one checked for our reservation. I asked if we could sit on the patio. The hostess said they would set up a table for us. She started to escort us to a table inside. I again asked if we could have a table on the patio. Once outside the waiter seemed to be new so we tried to be patient.
My daughter in law has a peanut allergy. As soon as the waiter started to take our order she informed him of the allergy. He checked with the chef and let her know they use Soy oil to cook. We proceeded to order. All of our dishes came out except for my husbands. The waiter told him he, “forgot to put his order in”. My daughter in laws breakfast sandwich came out and there was what seemed to be Pesto on the cheese. She asked the waiter who said he could check with the chef. He returned and said the chef assures him he didn’t use Pesto. We asked what it was if not Pesto. The waiter said he assumed it was a Herb. We explained she would have a reaction and asked him to please ask what it was. He said he would have the waiter make another one.
The bill came and they did not charge for my husbands. However, the kids pancake on the menu is $8 for two. My daughter received one. We were also charged $1 for the cheese on my daughter in laws breakfast sandwich. The menu said it was included.
We will not return and certainly would not recommend. I’m hoping they are working the kinks out for the season and this isn’t a normal experience there. I certainly expected more and at $62 the experience was unacceptable.

We came for breakfast on a Sunday. It took us at least 10 minutes to get water. After over 40 minutes of waiting, half of the table got food. They finished well before the other half of the table got food. Several items ordered were missing. The food came out cold and was nothing to write home about.
The restaurant failed to deliver on simple items like fried eggs and toast. The staff was very rude and inattentive. The fact that we paid for anything at all was appalling. Given the choice between this restaurant and a gas station, I'd pick the gas station.

WOW!!! I own a home in the Crest so we were excited to try this new BYOB. So glad we found this hidden gem. My wife and I ordered the 6 oz fillet, the Arancini and the Truffle Burrata. Everything was spot on. Our server Kate was personable and friendly. My wife and I come from the food service industry so we can be pretty critical. But we have nothing but good scores all around for Cavu. Can't wait to try their breakfast next!
