We were looking forward to checking out this place because of the good reviews, but when we showed up on a Thursday at around 6:40 they were closed. We were told they closed early because it was a slow night. I guess call ahead if you are not staying here to confirm they are open. Will maybe give it another shot next year. Disappointed.

The food for breakfast and dinner is top notch! The staff are wonderful and personable! I was surprised to see people not taking advantage of this gem! Yes the shrimp are scrumptious!?

Two nights at El Coronado meant two breakfasts at Oceana. Food was wonderful, both the default meal plan with the Coronado booking and the "upgrade" menu that offered more choices for very reasonable extra cost. The owner/manager was warm and cordial, and the servers were all professional and "nice kids" in the bargain. Worth visiting when on Five Mile Island!
