We just keep coming back! Some of the best coffee on the island with tasty breakfast sandwiches and the most amazing avocado toast. It’s so nice to sit outside and enjoy the view overlooking Sunset Lake.

My family loves Turtle Gut! Ever since they came to the neighborhood they have added so much to the area- great drinks, tasty food options, and a wonderful space to get away for a minute and enjoy a fun, chic/hip atmosphere. If my toddler was reviewing she’d add that she loves the bubble machine when it’s going. 😂 Us adults are also like matcha, mochas, coffees, avocado toast and their taste in music! We are vegan/plant-based and love the plant-based milk options as well as the avocado toast)

It’s become a regular stop we make whenever we are down the shore. Over the years we’ve gotten to know the owners who are wonderful people and putting a lot of hard work, creativity, and amazing things into their business. Plus, one of them is a twin! (As am I!)

Oh, did I mention they are right on sunset lake? A treat!! We can grab our drinks/food and enjoy watching the birds, boats, and beautiful landscape of the bay. You don’t get many cafe-side views like this on the island. (Especially from a business that has such high quality offerings!)

Anyway, the name helps say it— they’re committed to the area (Turtle Gut is the original name of this area of WildWood Crest.. you can see the map in a mural on the inside wall) and are adored by many shore goers looking for something special. Looking forward to our next stop in. It’s always a treat!

The food here is so delicious, and the coffee is even better! You really can’t go wrong with their blueberry maritozzo paired with a cortado. Also highly encourage people to take a look at their to-go drinks, I’m not usually a fan of kombucha but their tea kombucha selection is excellent.

The coffee was actually sooo bad I’m so disappointed. I waited way too long for an iced coffee as well and I was the only one who ordered anything in there. Unfortunately will not be returning

The matcha was weak and out of brewed coffee. The pro is that it is directly in front of bay, so you can enjoy the view with drink in hand.

Turtle Gut in Wildwood is a must try! I grabbed the sausage, egg & cheese and was blown away the sausage had blueberries in it, giving every bite a sweet-savory twist you won’t forget. Paired it with their smooth, refreshing matcha and… wow. If you’re in Wildwood, skip the usual breakfast spots and treat yourself here. You’ll thank me later!

Fantastic little coffee shop, they use beans from passenger coffee roasters in Lancaster which I personally love, and the pastries they have are fantastic and fancy. Will be back.
