Don’t recommend. I wish there was another place to get African food from. When u walk in there no one ever speaks. The ppl just look at you like u have three heads or something. They serve flat soda and check your food because there have been string or something in my food! YUCK.

Please pay attention to the negative reviews, because those reviews for this restaurant are accurate. I ignored the reviews and decided to try it anyway… I won’t be returning.
The food portions are small and everything lacked flavor. I have had wayyyy better Liberian food. I had the fried fish and dry rice platter. The fish meat lacked flavor and the dry rice didn’t have meat and other additional ingredients that it should have. It tasted like regular (white) rice with minimal seasonings. The pepper sauce was not a combination of sweet and spicy, just straight spice.

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I'm so glad there's a new Liberian restaurant near my job that serves real, authentic Liberian food. Please keep the flavors true and don't water them down for the American people. I've ordered three times already, and everything has been great. Keep up the good work!

I initially rated them a 4 because the achieke portions were too small, but I've continued to order from them since they offer the best authentic West African food in the area. After requesting larger portions of achieke, they’ve consistently delivered. The food is always delicious and satisfying, with the fish perfectly seasoned and fried to a crisp. Excellent service overall!

When this place first opened I was excited being from a city where I had access to a diverse amount of food!!! I supported sammies sending everyone I knew. But today sammies missed the mark I ordered spinach & rice I literally got a bowl of oil!! 1 tiny turkey neck 1tiny fish & a chicken bone hardly any spinach I had more oil than anything. I had to cook more spinach add more meat to enjoy this meal 21$ wasted. I was very disappointed in this meal if you want a bowl of grease then sammies have it for you. But you can not get actual spinach & meat at all. Go to Philly you will get what you pay for good seasoned food without the bowl of grease! I am so disappointed bc I loved eating from here but NEVER again will I spend my money here! They saw that oil in my bowl!! This is what make it hard to support because ppl always try to do the customer wrong! Sorry guys please don't eat here it's not worth it. Take the 15 min drive to Philly you wouldn't be disappointed. I wish I can add a picture to show the bowl of oil

This is my go to spot! Everything is delicious and flavorful. My favorite is the fried fish with dry rice and plantains. But I enjoy the Potato Greens & the Cassava leaf as well. Highly recommend!
