Denny’s has been my favorite local breakfast chain . Since The Original Pancake house (see my review) opened a year ago, I figured Denny’s would stepped up its game. First, no one was smiling( I get it, Saturday morning rush), no good morning either. You couldn’t hear names being called out when your table is ready( maybe update needed for checking in i.e text message base) Second, food was just okay. I ordered the lumberjack with a side of coffee. It feels everything was thrown together in the plate(i.e not Instagram friendly) Third, our server( no smiles & feels like she’s had with it customers after all these years being there) Lastly, atmosphere feels off. Manager at The Original Pancake House would come around with coffee refills and asking customers how they’re doing. In order to keep customers to come back, Denny’s needs to up their game from the moment they opened the front door. Weekend business brings chaotic atmosphere but it doesn’t have to be. Denny’s used to be my favorite but The Original Pancake House has taken that away.

So me and my family is going there since they open and little by little things start changing may be new ower or a management. So I was there week ago and me and my wife was planning to celebrate my son 8th birthday so after we ordered we tell them in advance that we will be appreciate if they can bring some kind of little cake and we all can sing birthday song but at the end this african american guy who serve us a food told us that we don't have enough stuff to do that and my son was sad and unhappy. This is my 2nd bad experience there so something need to be done there with management.
Denny's is reliable but hard to find in eastern NJ. Service in this branch was very good.

My toast was not toasted properly and ask for darker toast and I was served with the same, bout time the third toast arrived i already finished my meal, will not eat there again.

Service was mediocre, food the same . I understand it was a little busy but it could have been better and waitress forgot parts of our meal and didn't receive some of our meal. Attention to detail was a big negative. Probably will not return.
