Michael's Backyard BBQ was an absolute lifesaver at our event! From the start, they were prompt and respectful of our schedule. We had two food trucks planned, but unfortunately, the second one was completely unprepared to handle the crowd of 100 guests. Michael, being the consummate professional, immediately stepped up and adapted to the situation. Not only did he manage his own flow with ease, but he also picked up the slack and accommodated way more guests than initially expected.
His quickness, attention to detail, and ability to stay on his feet was truly impressive. And let’s not forget the food – the smoked wings were INCREDIBLE! Our entire teaching staff is still raving about the meal days later. Michael’s Backyard BBQ was the highlight of our event, and I highly recommend them for any gathering. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve eaten from this BBQ truck at multiple food truck events. The chicken is amazing and that signature burger he makes is one of the best I’ve had. Staff is friendly and the food presentation is great on Eco friendly disposable food trays. Whenever I see the truck is set up I make a point of grabbing a bite there. Highly recommend giving it a taste. Veteran owned and operated doesn’t hurt either.

We stopped by this place for the first time and I’m not gonna lie. I’m a picky eater so at first I was only going to eat corn on the cob and try my husband‘s ribs. Well, let’s just say the ribs were so good. I had him turn around to get me and my mother a plate. We also had green beans, baked beans and some cheesy macaroni. Everything was great. The kids and the father were very friendly. We will definitely come back.

This food truck comes by my place in Weehawken frequently. I was looking forward to trying a meal here but was left disappointed. I ordered a half pound wagyu burger which was supposed to come with 'beef, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, housemade BBQ sauce' as per the menu displayed on the truck and also on the website. Unfortunately my order was missing the lettuce, tomato and onions. The beef patty tasted pretty good but it was quite greasy and the burger was soggy as a result. I love supporting local business, especially veteran owned, but felt disappointed that I didn't get what I fully paid for, especially given it was a pricey ~ $20 burger with taxes.

Always wanted to try this place but I’ll tell you. It’s disgusting. Dirty plates, dirty cups, dirty place rude people. Something was telling me just to walk away and I should’ve listened to myself. This is a horrible, horrible place to eat. Health inspection needs to come ASAP. Bugs everywhere the. look like they never cleaned. STAY AWAY

Terrible place to order. Waited 2hrs at the Meadowlands for ribs and brisket. Super overwhelmed, they can't keep up, get the f off the market if you can't serve the public.
