We celebrated my grandma’s birthday at Olive Garden and had the absolute best experience thanks to our server, Destiny. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive from the moment we sat down. Destiny made my grandma feel so special—she took the time to chat with her, made great menu suggestions, and checked in on us at all the perfect moments without ever making us feel rushed.

The little touches she added throughout the meal truly made the celebration feel personal and memorable. It’s not often you come across someone who brings that level of warmth and genuine care to their job, but Destiny did exactly that.

Thank you, Destiny, for making our family dinner so wonderful. We’ll definitely be asking for you next time! 💛🎉

Tonight we had a great pleasure of having Destiny as our server. She especially took note of allergies for the table, as I cannot recall anyone ever asking and taking note of that. She brought a warm, and comforting atmosphere. We highly recommend coming to this location and ask for Destiny!

Review of Olive Garden – Woodbridge, NJ

For many years, my family and I have chosen this Olive Garden as one of our preferred dining destinations. It has held a place of sentimental value for us, consistently associated with enjoyable meals and pleasant service. Unfortunately, our experience today fell far below the standards we have come to expect.

Our server appeared to be new, and although she took an unusually long time to take our order and later to deliver our meals, we extended her patience, assuming she was still acclimating to the workflow. She also repeatedly forgot the breadsticks, requiring multiple reminders—but even then, we withheld criticism, giving her the benefit of the doubt as part of the natural learning curve of a new employee.

However, the situation deteriorated after we paid our bill. As is customary at Olive Garden, guests generally receive a chocolate mint candy at the conclusion of their meal. This did not occur, and as it has occasionally happened before, we followed the typical remedy: approaching the staff member near the kitchen to request it. The woman stationed there responded with dismissive rudeness and an unprofessional tone, saying, “If you want chocolate, go to the front desk and ask for them.”

I then asked to speak to the manager—a short, heavy-set woman with dark skin—who unfortunately demonstrated limited communication skills, low empathy, minimal initiative, and a remarkable absence of problem-solving ability. Rather than acknowledging the situation and simply handing us the chocolates visible behind her, she instead repeated the directive to go to the front desk.

This exchange reflected a concerning deficiency in supervisory competence. A manager should embody leadership, customer-care awareness, emotional intelligence, and real-time problem resolution. Sadly, none of these were present. Her refusal to take even the smallest action—offering a simple mint chocolate to a long-time loyal customer—was not only discourteous, but also emblematic of deeper training and managerial shortcomings.

I sincerely hope that the upper management of Olive Garden reviews this incident carefully, identifies the personnel involved at the stated date and time, and provides the necessary customer-service training. We have always returned because of the positive atmosphere and warm service of prior years, and I truly hope that the restaurant can restore those standards.
