I just paid 14 dollars for a ham an cheese hoagie, one slice of cheese two slices of ham, tomato s from grocery store an lettuce I didn't ask for, if I could load a picture I would, joke
Use to love Pinos, ordered multiple times a week sometimes and I’ve been trying to still love it but everytime we’ve ordered in the last 6mos to a year even (but this has been an ongoing issue since they opened the new location really) the overall quality and portion sizes are continuously getting poorer.
Most recently:
Ordered a pepperoni Stromboli, it was a giant blob of oily cheese with barely any pepperoni. I shouldn’t have to play where’s the pepperoni….
Next time ordered a meatball parm sub - only 2 split meatballs in the whole sandwich!
I get the cost of ingredients have gone up however the prices continue to rise and now the portions are getting very small. If I’m paying more I expect at least a decent portion.

I was picking up a pizza at 2:13 Sunday February 2025 and happened to notice an employee eating her meal at the front counter.
Amazing pizza but the staff looks at me like I just accidentally told them to jump off a bridge Is this schizophrenia or pizza

This place used to be a staple in our family. We’ve lived in Woodbridge for nearly 8 years and every time we felt like having pizza, this would be our go to spot. But let me clarify, that’s how it USED TO BE. For the two last year this place has been going downhill. I can recount the last 4 times specifically the service has been HORRIBLE. Various incidents such as servers giving use the wrong check (almost every visit the last 4-6 times), getting completely wrong orders, having my pregnant wife stand and wait for nearly 30-45 minutes when we were told it would be a five minute wait (afterwards being handed a takeout pizza even though we were waiting to be seated), servers forgetting about our orders all together and the list goes on. My wife and I literally saw five tables get upset with the same server. Three of those five tables received the wrong orders. Also three of those five tables received the wrong checks. Yes, we waited so long to get food and even longer to get our check that we noticed other tables getting upset with the service. I am convinced the owner is neglecting this place. If you want to risk having your dining experience ruined for the night, head on over to Pino’s. If you want real family owned place where the pizza and service are 1,000 times better, go to Jersey Pizza Boys over in Avenel.

I’ve been a support of this Restaurant for Years.
What I’m noticing is that they are now using some either fake meat or some type of animal to replace the grilled Chicken in the pastas then smothering it in the pasta sauce when they serve it. Please be aware and cautious and have more concern for us as your supporters.
The pizza was uncooked and old tasting. The tomato sauce is not made with love as they advertise and the attitude of the Italian lady, probably a mafia family member that was nasty when I told her it was bad and not heated up. Tasted like yesterday's pizza. She kept the moneythat my husband a veteran paid, and hopefully being ripped off by an ungrateful member of our community will close the place with that bad karma from selling bad food. -- the response we received from the lady today has nothing to do with the service and she lies because we were never offered a new slice and she never insisted on returning our money. Instead she lied to me and said that she eats a pizza every morning. They also forgot to service us after we paid and after 5 minutes they remembered we were waiting for our order. A man came out from the kitchen with our pizza slices and was sorry that they forgot to put the order in.

The saddest looking eggplant 🍆 parm I've ever bought & brought home. My area has the worst 😫 & tasteless slices of pizza 🍕, 2. New York has the best, though. Front counter Employees are snobs & like high school bullies via phone with me & in person. Pino’s been hiring through the years these type of bullies with the public. Female Manager, at least ~ she is always polite with me.

God knows I don’t like doing this to small business but is the third time and I just complaint about me not getting what’s on their picture of their menu and I wanted something cooked a certain way and they told me the grill was closed an hour before closing time.

The food used to be delicious. But I can NEVER GET a fresh slice of pizza even if I wait until a pie comes out. They still give me a previous cooked slice. I ask for a slice that comes out and the girls grab previous slices. I am tired and annoyed of spending my money here and treated like crap over pizza!! I will take my business elsewhere.

Calamari over linguini was terrible. Calamari was the huge rings and were completely over cooked. Most places serve the Calamari fried over the pasta that's what I was expecting.

I've been coming here for many years. They've become my go to pizza place ever since Pizza Time closed. I normally wouldn't pay a high price for pizza, however their Nona pizza is THAT good that I'm willing to dish out $28 and change for it. It's a square pizza with a very thin crust.....it's delicious. I just recently ordered one for pick up. When I got home and opened the box, I was very surprised to see that the entire border of the pizza was burned. Somebody must've lost track of the amount of time it was in the oven. I was SO disappointed. I should've brought it back, but I decided to just eat the center pieces. The best part of the Nona pizza are the outside pieces BECAUSE of the crust. So FYI.....check your to go pizza before you leave the restaurant just in case. If I had done that, I would've asked them to make me a new one.

Restaurant food is good. Service is sub-par. Management needs to spend time updating the online menu before printing paper ones. Very frustrating to see an online menu that is completely different even with entire sections missing.
Wheelchair accessibility: Front entrance is wheelchair accessible.

The food was good. My wife has been coming here for decades, before they opened their new location. We spent over $200 here today to celebrate her birthday. Her 10 year-old neice brought a cake for us to eat. We had brought our own paper plates and plastic forks but a server offered us plates for the cake.
When we got the bill they added a $9 "cake fee". They didn't help serve the cake, they didn't sing happy birthday. We wouldn't have used the plates if we were going to be charged $9. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because when we asked them to take this charge off the bill they never warned us about, they got attitude. The girl said she couldn't, she would have to get a manager. When we asked for the manager, she said she was the manager.
Most people in my family have worked in food service for years. We understand things cost more than they used to. But this was absolutely pathetic. Robbery. Never coming back here again. Ever. Idiotic and rude customer service.
Great pizza is a dime a dozen in NJ. We can drive another 3 minutes and not get disrespected, hustled and robbed. It may "only be $9" but it's the principle.
