We got off the highway to find an authentic diner. We were not disappointed. Saturday noontime had the lunch/brunch crowd. We enjoyed our pasta marina, hamburger sliders, and the yummiest matzo ball soup. Friendly staff.
We stayed one night at a nearby hotel. This restaurant was very close and easy to get to from route nine. This is a weirdly elaborate diner. It has fluorescent lights and a marble entrance on the outside and the inside is oddly opulent and dramatic. Anyway, about the food… The place had about four tables of diners when we entered so the waitress had plenty of time to be very attentive to us.\n\nWe both had the lentil soup, which was good. A waitress was awesome she's a real character. The food was okay. It did knock my socks off but it was decent good food. And the woman at the desk movie paid our bill was really nice. Parking is really easy. And it's not too far off the beaten path so it's a good go-to place.
