I catered nihari and chicken karahi from Sunshine and it did not disappoint! 🤤 The nihari was sooo good — the beef was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The chicken karahi tasted super fresh and hit the spot.
Only small thing: they don’t automatically include raita or salad, you have to ask for it (a little odd). But honestly, aside from that, the food was delicious. Would definitely order again!

Dude, you give so little pilao, it’s like a child portion. Enough meat but so little rice what the hell. I walked in hungry and left with empty stomach. Ridiculous

Extremely slow service and then after the long wait, you get incorrect food. It is not worth it. Take your hard earned money to Tabac or any other restaurant.

pretty gross place, if you like to serve yourself then this place is perfect. staff is incompetent and can’t be bothered to serve you. food comes out with plastic spoons in butter chicken. horrible value proposition for 6 small pieces of chicken. it’s all nearly self serve. makes sense there’s no business. plus the food tastes like nothing.

When I confirmed over call yesterday, I was told 20 beef seekh kebabs for $54, by 12 PM. I repeated this 3 times to ensure it was $54, which the person on call confirmed. But when I reached the restaurant by 1PM because I was running late, my order was still not ready and moreover I was asked to wait 25 minutes AND pay $75.
This is unethical business practice. I have been getting food from Sunshine Palace for quite some time but will now have to consider other options.

Haleem, seekh kabob, and chicken biryani were ordered. The food was great overall, with the exception of the chicken biryani, which lacked flavor and didn’t quite meet expectations. However, the naan paired very well with both the haleem and the seekh kabob.
Portion sizes are just right for one person—not too large to share, but filling enough. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend stopping by for some Pakistani halal food if you're on your way to or from NYC. Thanks to the Sunshine team!
