My girlfriend and I went to Surrender Café on Mother's Day, and we had a great time. The Puerto Rican food was amazing—full of flavor and cooked just right. Alejandra was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had the pernil burrito and the pernil sandwich. Both so delicious and generous portions. Empanadas to start that were fresh and crispy. Sauces are fantastic, especially the red sauce! We had meant to meet a family member from PA “half way” but dates were confused so family member never came but it was worth the drive from CT!!
Ordered Arroz Blanco con Pollo Guisado y Tostones (Chicken Stew with white rice with green plantains) and a drink by phone. When I got there it was ready to go and the workers were very nice. The food was delicious!! I am Hispanic so I don't eat much Spanish food when I go out, for the obvious reason. However, I definitely would recommend this place if you're in the mood for some good ole home-cooked Spanish meal!! Check them out!
