Independent Spirits Distillery

Tonight was our first time here. Our drinks were exceptional, service was on point, and loved the overall vibe. We will definitely be returning.

Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. Kerry, the mother of spirits, is fantastic. Hearing about her history, the reason she started the company, and their vision for the future truly makes for a great distillery experience.

If I can give you any recommendation, try the espresso and the limoncello. They have a chocolate flavor coming out soon, and it tastes fantastic. Their bourbon is very smooth, especially for a young whiskey, as Kerry explained that she likes to remove the toxins that give most whiskeys a harsh bite at a young age.

I’m excited to see what they have planned for the future, including single barrels and special releases. My only minor complaint is the price. For three rounds of drinks for two and at least two spirits to go, you’re looking at close to $150, not including a tip. However, considering the quality of what you’re getting from a local independent distillery, it’s understandable.

Kerry is fantastic, and supporting local businesses is important. This place offers a great experience. It’s not a complaint, just a concern about the value compared to larger distilleries that might offer similar products at a lower price. For those who want to support local businesses, this place is fantastic and worth the visit.

A truly highly quality small batch distillery. Everything bottled is handcrafted. The drink menu has a great selection. This place is the hidden gem in New Jersey. I highly recommend others to go to Independent Spirits. Do a tasting. Have a drink or two. Heck, make sure to buy a few bottles. You will want to.

Randomly decided to check this distillery out today, and had a really nice time! We brought food, and sat out of the porch with our drinks while watching the wildlife. Will definitely come back again!

New to the area, we visited Independence a few weeks ago on a whim. Best “whim” ever! Kerry and her sons have a great business! The spirits they distill are some of the best around (I highly recommend the barrel-aged gin). We started with some tastings split between a few of us so that we could sip some of each spirit: highly recommend for a first-time visit. Then we moved on to cocktails – again we ordered unique drinks in order to try them around the table. Each one was full of flavor! The weather was nice, so we brought some pizzas, sat outside, and watched a beautiful sunset while drinking a great product. My husband and I visited again two weeks later to try a few more cocktails and they were just as good as the first time. The land the distillery is on is beautiful: it would be perfect for a wedding, party, or other social event – they would love to host your event!

Excellent spot to go for a couple cocktails. The spirits were some of the best I’ve ever had, they say it’s from local ingredients also. Cocktails were very good. Ask to get a table in the distillery room, cool ambiance.

Excellent local family run distillery with indoor and outdoor seating. Great cocktails and moctails! Dog friendly. Will definitely be back!

Would have been really nice if you posted online that you were closed today. I drove out here with 2 cars full of people (after checking online) just to find signs taped on your trash cans. Realllllll friggin professional

My wife's sister brought us a bottle of the Espresso liquor and we tasted it the night they arrived. The bottle was finished the next night. It was a nice balance of the espresso and light sweet liquor and we'd highly recommend it. Thank you Suzanne and Brian

Really enjoyed getting to know the owner and trying the fruits of her labor. Still a young distillery, but Kerry shows a passion for what she does which reflects in her products. I will be returning in the warmer months!I highly recommend this establishment - check Groupon because there's some great deals.

Great little spot. Awesome owner and great little tasting room. Not a big place so a little tricky to get to, but worth the effort

Great drinks, open space, games/legos/activities for adults and kids, and the owner was very nice. Got a bottle of bourbon for home and we will be back here very soon. Hidden gem, have to get more people here!!
