Benares - Modern Indian Restaurant & Caterers

We love this place! I bought a friend who really wanted to try Indian food and order the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, saag, paneer and shahi paneer, along w garlic naan, and she absolutely loved it. We come to this place weekly because the food is so flavorful and delicious! It is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in North Jersey. I am Indian myself and I can tell you this food is authentic, and done the right way . They also have added a few dishes with a modern twist as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed. In the past, I have ordered their lamb chops, which is spiced well, and also the eggplant chaat which is super crispy and you get a little bit of a tangy sauce as well as a sweet sauce and also topped with a yogurt sauce as well. It is a flavor bomb in your mouth. I can't rave enough about this place. The staff is super friendly and professional. The restaurant that's office is clean, and the decor is eclectic. This place is a must try if you are searching for an authentic and delicious experience. 

We love Benares. We've been going here for years because the food is great, it's comfortable and the people that work there are courteous, professional and nice.

Benares continues to be a favorite spot for us. The food is amazingly fresh and flavorful, beautifully enhanced by the spices used. Service was also outstanding - highly recommend.

I came here for lunch with my Aunt and Uncle for the first time as they live Wyckoff. All of us ordered different dishes and everything was outstanding! The food was full of flavor, very fresh, well presented, and the service was superb. The staff were very kind and it was truly a great experience. Highly recommend this being you top choice for Indian food:)

I've wanted to try this restaurant for a very long time. It absolutely did not disappoint. The food was fresh delicious and service exceptional. This will definitely be one of our go-to restaurants! We had lunch there and the quality and value were stellar- so deserving of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

This was my first time having Indian food and my meal was delicious. Not overly spicy. The place is beautiful decorated and the staff wasn't attentive just amazing.

I have been l using them for last 30 years. Originally started as Minar and tgem upscale to Benares fir weddings and big gatherings. You can not beat their authentic north Indian taste and consistent quality. Neetu and Ranbir are great...

Had lunch at Benares in Wyckoff and really enjoyed it. The lunch special is now $13.95, which is a great deal for what you get. The plate came with fresh naan, creamy dal makhani, paneer curry, and saag with veggies — all full of flavor and not too heavy. The onion salad with lemon and green chili on the side added a nice kick.

The staff was super friendly and kept us entertained, chatting and checking in just the right amount. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do.

They’ve also opened a banquet hall, which looks perfect for small parties or family gatherings. Overall, tasty food, good portions, and a fun, welcoming vibe. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

The servers were very attentive and made good suggestions for us. They regularly returned to see if we needed anything else and to replenish the water bottles. The food was excellent
