The servers were very attentive and made good suggestions for us. They regularly returned to see if we needed anything else and to replenish the water bottles. The food was excellent
At the venue Food Service was very poor once you paid them they picked up food. We are hosting a party at venue for 400 guests. Once we paid them, they picked up the food from the venue. Our guests did not had dinner yet We were trying to talk to team members they were very unprofessional. They start fighting with us.

We are so lucky to have found Benares. Maybe the best Indian food we have ever had! Vast list of appetizers and mains, all explained beautifully on the extensive menu. Lamb, scallops, and beet cakes were amazing. Servers were extremely helpful in describing dishes and everything recommended was just right. We can't wait to go back!
Great local curry spot. Will spice to your level.

As a suburban dad with a full schedule, I relied on pizza and Chinese for the ol’ “don’t feel like cooking” deliveries, for the better part of a decade. That was a mistake. I added Benares to the rotation a few years back, and simply put, it’s amazing. If you’re new to Indian food, make your first order the Khasta Gobhi, Bhel Puri, Chicken Tika Masala, and Garlic Naan. I might not be able to accurately pronounce most of these dishes, but it’s all around incredible fare with generous portions and a wide range of vibrant flavors.
From there, the Rogan Josh, Andhra Chicken Curry, and anything vindaloo (if you’re feeling spicy) are all incredible. The British fought wars over these spices, and I now completely understand why.
Long story short, give Benares a shot if you haven’t already.

Decided to try Benares after hearing it was the best in Bergen County. I was so disappointed. The food lacked any depth of flavor and was overall very oily. I had to skim oil off the top of every dish I ordered. Will be sticking to Bombay Hut, even though their prices are outrageous given the portion sizes.

We had a wonderful experience dining in. Normally we get takeout when we do order from this restaurant. The menu is more extensive when dining in so we were happy to be able to try entrées and appetizers. We would not normally have access to. Wonderful experience.
Fabulous! Couldn’t be better! We’ll be back!
