Had a really nice meal with my sister and her family here last night. Now normally, the term "really nice meal" would mean a 4 or 5 star review. After all, the tuna and crispy rice, chicken parm, caesar salad and everything else were delicious. Service was super friendly and attentive and the place was nicely decorated and inviting. But there were two flaws. First of all a restaurant leaning heavily Italian, should serve bread. Okay, so maybe the infusion of a few mediterranean and Asian dishes on the menu countered that need but it should have been an option. I thought that was weird. I've never eaten Italian food without a loaf of bread or some rolls on the table. Bread does several basic but very important things in a restaurant. First of all it's a welcome. It also sets the tone for a meal as well as gives you something to munch on besides your fingernails while waiting for your appetizers. It can also play a subconscious role in choosing your menu items. Spectacular bread brings your guard down and makes expensive menu options seem more reasonable. After all, if the bread is so good I can only imagine how awesome the entrees must be. Does bread cut into appetizer revenue, offering free food in place of something you're going to pay for? Perhaps but I think its benefits far outweigh possible economic determinants. Second of all, and while some might consider this petty, they don't do free refills. I paid $14 for two club sodas that were each refilled once. And we're not talking Pellegrino here, just basic seltzer, carbonated water. I consider that ridiculous. I don't mind paying well for excellent food and do so with great frequency but crap like that just pisses me off. It's club soda, people. Water with some bubbles. In all fairness, our super polite server did tell us that they don't do refills, prior to bringing them to the table but that doesn't mean it was acceptable. It's really sad or maybe I'm just petty but after paying close to $200 for a pretty damn good meal served by some really nice people, I won't be returning for a fairly stupid reason. Oh well....

We went to Brunch arriving a little early but were greeted like friends .Service was outstanding a full team effort.There was 8 of us two children.The children ordered the chicken soup and after two big bowls wanted more .The rest of our group had the best fried Zucchini I have ever had.Burgers cooked perfectly and the eggs Benedict came out of the kitchen hot and very nice presentation.Most of all we were treated like family and shown respect and patience.Carrot cake shared by our table sent us home happy and planning for our next visit.

Small quaint place, roughly 20 tables. We were seated pretty quickly. My son's burger did lack flavor but was a good size, liked the shoestring fries. My smoked salmon hollandaise was on point, wife's avocado toast, too. Portions are just enough, but that being said, for the price, there should be leftovers... $12 is a bit extreme for a kid portion of Mac and cheese.Parking: Small lot fills up quickKid-friendliness: Had a kids menu with a few options, highchair too, but no crayons or anything.

This place would get a ZERO from me. We sat down before five tables who got there food before us. Not to mention we had kids with us.The service is horrible! I would not recommend this place at all. Food is ok!

Cafe Amici. Did this place change hands?? Was a good place at one time. The French Press was served at the table at one time and now we were told by the young inexperienced server that she was not allowed to bring the press to the table. The ice cold dishes that were placed at our table for appetizers were wet and had lint on them (ew). The chicken pot stickers were room temp/cold. The elder female worker who seemed in charge, made us feel that we were lucky to have been seated by her. The male server wasn't happy that we asked about the French Press at the table and then had a staring problem. I don't mind paying $20 for avocado toast but at least ... try to fake that you care about your customer. This is a hospitality business.. I've had a few and would strongly suggest the owners train their employees. The additional 3.5% 'admin' fee on the bill is added by them whether you pay cash or charge.. unless you complain when you are paying cash then they subtract it (felt like a mini-scam). First time I have ever written a review. The place had a good vibe at one time.. sadly it seems over. so many other choices for customers maybe close the doors and start again so you can compete.
