Had the sashimi, which was nice - fresh, tender, and flavorful. Served in an artfully arranged bowl, filled with crushed ice and decorative flora. Service was very good, although it took longer than expected to have our orders taken; it was busy that evening. Looking forward to going back.

My boyfriend & I had stopped by for dinner & as we were greeted by our waitress, she was extremely rude. When she came up to ask for our order, my boyfriend asked for a sweetened green tea (the menu states that they have that) & she immediately cut him off & with the worst attitude, said that they only have unsweetened. He then asked for a coke instead but she simply brought him the unsweetened tea. Like seriously? Then as more customers started arriving, she was nicer to everyone & listened to their orders very carefully. For us on the other hand, she simply stopped paying attention to us. She would also stand across the room with another waitress & we could obviously tell they were talking about us. Pointing & laughing. It was an extremely uncomfortable environment to be in. My boyfriend & I were never rude to her or anything, she simply just had an attitude with us from the start, which I did not like at all.

Last evening was my very first visit to Sakura after I had moved from Ridgewood! I found this restaurant truly excellent by all standards ! The service, the ambiance and the food were truly exceptional and the very best!

It was a terrible experience. I found a plastic wrap 3*3 inches in my seafood soup. Rolls was very simple. I will never go again.

Nice local Japanese restaurant. I went for the bento box while my son opt for the 3 rolls sushi lunch. Big plus, they have lunch specials also on Sat (not limited to weekdays only). On the cheap side with a good bang for your buck. The food itself was good, but not amazing.Would stop by again if I'm in the area, but won't do an effort to drive there for the restaurant alone.

Have eaten at Sakura probably over 100 times since it opened. They did a great job staying afloat during the dumb pandemic, delivery was reliable, and even prices stayed reasonable. We've eaten in person many times since the craziness subsided and its still great, albeit it seems a bit understaffed, which seems every restaurant suffers from these days.

As far as food goes, its still as good as it gets. While we've eaten at most of the sushi joints in this part of Bergen county for the past 25 years, Sakura is still super reliable, tasty and fresh. Don't understand most of the 1 star reviews, seems a bit extreme, but reviews are reviews I guess, and people like to complain. The Bento box dinners are epic, the rolls are amazing and generous, and the Nigiri is always excellent in my experience.
