Came across this place on a road trip. It was lunchtime and we were hungry! Our meal here became a highlight of our visit to Newfoundland (from Ontario.)

Best french fries on planet earth. Homemade gravy and stuffing. Fresh-caught cod. Glad I wore my stretchy pants.

Owner, Rick, is a gem! You gotta eat here!!

Had a great meal, lunch was a turkey sandwich and bowl of chowder. It was almost like stew. Love supporting a small local restaurant. Very friendly staff

It's a diner in the countryside so you can expect to hear country music while dining. It has been there for many years/ decades and it's popular with locals and travellers alike. My brother ordered the trout and I got a moose burger. (I think the trout portion was more generous.)

I was visiting earlier this week (August 3, 2025) from Toronto. We didn't eat - so I can't rate the food.
But oh my goodness - the atmosphere and staff were amazing.
I will definitely be going back to have some food the next time I'm visiting my friends in Cape Broyle.

Absolutely clean and tidy place with excellent service and very kind people working there. We just had breakfast options and tea/coffee but everything was so freshly cooked and well-serviced. Prices are more than acceptable nowadays. We will be back definitely to try also some fish and chips

Quick service and nice food.

A great little place with good, friendly service. They didn't mind us arriving close to closing time and the meal was yummy. Their gravy for the fries and gravy was fantastic!
