Service with an absolute smile. I ventured in asking for an espresso. The owner told me they didn't make espressos but offered me a free coffee instead. Still I chose to pay. Newfoundland character at its finest.

Beautiful new place, so much charm of the stories from nearby and history. Cozy and the young people working, doing their very best to give you some amazing tasty fish cakes and a delicious float beverage. Thank you

Passing through and came here because of the reviews. We were not greeted and found a table for 6. Went to the counter to order- 4 people came in behind us and we were still awaiting our coffee while the others were served their drink and their food.
Our food arrived. It does have a homemade flair but was heavy on turnip.
Daughter was served frozen cheesecake
She did enjoy her specialty drink.

Some old artifacts are interesting.
The atmosphere feels much like a basement of a hall, no windows.
Finishes a little low budget with plastic drop cloths on table and coffee and tea is made behind counter.
Floor had pop dried up and sticky
I think locals likely get priority service.

The food is average, atmosphere not much, service- sorry to say not great.

If your on the road and need somewhere to stop, try Dover or drive up a little further.
This wasn’t worth the stop.

Perfect lunch spot, homemade cooking really hit the spot. We had the pea soup and it was delish.
