We ate there today, Nov 29. It was cold inside., I ordered one piece fish and chicken meal. Fish was great, chicken was awful tasting and fries were terrible.There were more bits and pieces of fries than actual fries .Coleslaw was great. My husband had club house and fries. The sandwich was good but he didn't like the fries . Onion rings good but our cost was $70.00. We certainly could have gotten better food elsewhere for the cost

Granted I did order fish and chips but I can’t remember a time when I couldn’t eat fish due to grease. The batter on the fish was that greasy it was almost transparent. I think this place has potential but I left most of my food and ended up at Walmart across the road to buy Tums! Will not be going back there.

Every time I visit my parents we go to Rod's. Some of the best fish and chips, you don't get this good quality or quantity in Ontario. Being next to the ocean probably helps. But I always go here and have never had any bad experiences. Servers are also great and check up all during the meal.

If you want local good home cooking with zero fuss but all the flavour this is it! We were looking for a diner and Rods didn’t disappoint,huge helpings and great food. Services was excellent as well. Go hungry!

My wife was looking for a place that serves fish n brewis and boy did we luck into this place in Clarenville NL. They made a fish n brewis that is to die for. Served with scrumchions, which are salty, crunchy pork fat cubes in pork oil. A heart attack dish if you've ever seen one, but I guarantee you’ll die a happy person. The fish burger was also very good.

We both had fun and feather, usually whenever I’ve had that, the piece of chicken was a wing, both of us had a prebreaded thigh, not good, and the fish was not fresh, it was frozen fish from a wholesaler, this time of year you expect local places to get fresh fish. My first time there, been wanting to try it for a while, won’t go back.

I wasn’t impressed when I first walked into the restaurant, one the servers from across the room asked how many, then came and gave us a menu. They had pea soup and dumplings on the menu, my favourite, so I ordered it. She bought out the pea soup, no dumpling, she went back and a few minutes later she bought out a dumpling. The soup was very watery, no taste to it at all, the dumpling was hard as a rock. I called over one of the other girls working there and asked her if that dumpling was made today, she said she didn’t know. I told her I didn’t like the soup and the dumpling was hard, so I didn’t want it. Her response was can I get you a roll. My response no nothing for me, went to pay for my Pepsi and I was charged for the soup as well. Also the girl that served us, never came and checked with us to see if everything was good, if we needed anything else. Definitely do not recommend this place and will not be returning there again.
