Nanny’s Root Cellar Kitchen, located in a historic Orange Hall in Elliston, is a charming not-for-profit restaurant that reinvests proceeds into the community. The relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff make it a welcoming spot. The menu offers delicious homestyle options, including seafood chowder, lobster, Fish & Brewis, Cod au Gratin, cod tongue appetizer, fish 'n' chips, moose burger, grilled cheese and puffin rings, hamburger, and the "simply the best" salt fish dinner. Guests also enjoy the traditional Sunday turkey dinner, Jiggs dinner, moose sausage, salmon special, and the best turnips and mashed rutabaga. The homemade pies with incredible crust and delicious cheesecakes are a highlight. Fresh, authentic food and huge portions make dining here a special experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Elliston.
