Server was fantastic and informative. The gravy is from SCRATCH and very good. The fries were excellent. Fish delicious with nice light batter. Cheesecake a must.

Went there on a Sunday evening and the live music by the local band was certainly a vibe. The food took almost an hour to come but the atmosphere didn't make it feel so long. We had been craving moose since we moved to Newfoundland and it certainly didn't disappoint although we felt the portion of fries was a bit too much and we struggled to finish it. Overall a very fun. Also, thank you Gary!

My husband and I got screeched in at Squid Jigger and had so much fun! Delicious Newfoundland food with extremely friendly staff and a wonderful overall experience.

Lovely and wonderful food. The best pea soup we’ve ever had. The friendliest people. And the loveliest spot even on a misty night.

Great view from deck. Sundays have live entertainment-- Newfoundland songs and screech in ceremonies to be honorary Newfoundlanders.

This place is the genuine item. Great food (had the scallops and fries but the Cole slaw was out of this world.) super friendly staff & clientele. And wonderful live music.

What a loss, I used to pass by this place and only recently decided to look in. It was the first time, but definitely not the last. Fish and chips were incredibly tasty, the staff was friendly, the place itself is cozy. I did not find any downsides.

I still remember the calamari and fish and chips I had here last year — it was truly unforgettable, with amazing value for the price. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment. They charged $11.95 for 10–12 tiny pieces of calamari, whereas last time we were served a generous basket for a much lower price. Back then, there were lots of sauces available on the table, including tartar, but this time we didn’t even get any when we asked. The taste was also very poor. What used to be a charming local spot with fresh ingredients has now become overpriced and mediocre. A pint of beer was $9 — even downtown it’s cheaper. Prices have gone up significantly, while both the taste and portion sizes have gone downhill. I’m really disappointed.

Prices have gone up significantly, while both the taste and portion sizes have gone downhill. Cod bites for 12 pieces is 14.95. I’m really disappointed.
