First time to visit Gander, and this place did not disappoint! We reserve a table few minutes before their opening. Glad they were able to accomodate us. A highly recommended spot! Food was absolutely delish, the staff and service was excellent. Loved their mushroom soup and freshly made Apple walnut salad! Enjoyed their Chicken Gyoza and flavourful Pork Bao buns. The Bistro burger with Parmesan Truffle fries was a champ! And we can't forget the mouth watering Beef Bulgogi. We will definitely be back. 💯 satisfied customers here!☺️

If you’re looking for fine dining in Gander, Bistro on Roe is a must-visit. We showed up without a reservation and ended up at the bar but it turned out to be such a great experience ✨ the food and service were outstanding.

We had a family dinner on our trip to the rock and ended up picking this really classy (for gander) restaurant. The menu has a lot of really great options, fish was fresh, squash pasta was really tasty, the risotto was good too. Good options for apps and drinks were pretty standard but lots of choices. Beer wine and spirits. Good dessert menu with several options.

Very good good plus a range of foods to appeal to a wife variety of people, from hamburgers to more gourmet items like lobster bisque( a special the night we were there) or Osso Bucco. There were four of us, with a range of tastes and everyone enjoyed their meal.

My husband and I dropped in at the restaurant after reading a few of the reviews. It was very good food. I have dairy allergies and gluten intolerance and was able to order the Cod Puttanesca with jasmine rice and steamed veggies, with no modifications. It was well seasoned and a good portion size. My husband had the Chicken Piccata and he enjoyed it very much.
I was there with 3 people and all of us loved everything we chose. This is really a fine dining experience with excellent presentation and healthier options than usual. Great wine and cocktail selection too. Highly recommend.

After reading great reviews we booked here. It was extremely loud for such a small space. We arrived promptly at our reservation time (opening at 530) but were served an hour after most people. A couple ate and left before we even saw our food. The servers were friendly but forgot to check in to refill our drinks and take our appetizer plates away. The food was “okay” but not stellar. It wasn’t terrible but not one I would recommend.

Absolute hidden gem! We had the beet salad, apple walnut salad, seared scallops, and lobster mac and cheese — every single dish was absolutely outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the lobster mac was the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, the affogato was pure perfection. Highly recommend this place!
