While driving across the island, we stopped and had a burger and poutine, driving back had eggs benedict. Both meals were delicious

Great experience here. Delicious hot, fresh food served very quickly by our extremely friendly, courteous waitress JOANNE who made us feel like family. Will definately be returning when in area. The best dining experience we have had in the town of Gander. Highly recommend!

Will not sure where to begin as Irving was always our number 1 choice for eating when travelling, so today we decided to go with our mum & family for Mother's Day, will we said how about Irving , we walked in sat down as we had 9 of us..myself had roast beef , as my husband had seafood platter mum had Turkey which she never touch and was not asked if everything was ok with her meal, my husband said oh dear the tongue's are rotten , and the rest of the seafood was burnt up...waitress April came by we said excuse me my love in a low voice as we did not want anyone to hear it , this is very rotten (meaning spoiled ) please let you cook know... And the seafood is cooked too much , will waitress replied , nothing I can do about that now , my husband only wanted to mention it so next person would not get it ...... My husband eat the cod fish and the fries.....we than ask her for a dessert for our mum once again she said no she do not get it with her meal in a rude way as we said it's ok we pay for it, it was like it was trouble for to serve us. Than she went to the back of our table and said what more can I do to get them out. OMG how rude ..hey April customer service be nice , you could have said so sorry sir about this I will address this right away, we understand you may had to work on this special day , as we all have been there or you may have been having a bad day and we been there too.

Sincerely

We stopped for lunch mainly because we were towing our RV and it is convenient to park there. I ordered pea soup and it was so bad that it was a joke. The soup was a broth with a very slight pea flavour and contained 3 pieces of turnip, 3 pieces of carrot and 3 small pieces of salt beef. It really wasn’t fit to eat. I did mention it to our server and she didn’t seem to think anything was required on her part. I’m not one to make a fuss over a bowl of soup so I didn’t press the matter. I assume that Irving doesn’t tell their servers to not charge when the meal is not satisfactory. The good news is that when the subject of bad restaurant meals comes up in the future, I will have the best story?.

We have lunch here on a Sunday and it was packed. I order the turkey soup with roll and tea. The service was good. The soup did not have any turkey only lots of vegetables and some rice. I told the server so hopefully she passed that until the kitchen staff. Maybe I should have order the pea soup.

Food was great and service was quick. They were only open until 3 due to being short staffed. My old favorite indulgence is the French fries, dressing and gravy that you can ask for. Pea soup is always good too.

Food is good don’t get me wrong, wait time was atrocious however.

Great friendly staff, always really busy but good food at a good price. My 'go to' place when travelling.

First I think the girls serving, were great under pressure. The appetizers were served last. The mussels were dry and gross. The fish platter was over cooked and dry the shrimp were nearly burned black. For a family meal of 200.00 the food was a waste of money. The service was good considering how it turned out!
