We booked Taste last minute on Sunday evening. As much as we were excited to eat at this renowned place I must admit that our excitement has weaned the minute we have arrived. Although the location and views are spectacular, the ambiance of the restaurant was below par. Our table was set very plainly and only 2 small plates with a fork and knife. No glasses, no candlelight (it was getting dark).

Came here for dinner after finding the restaurant on Google Maps. The entrance was quite hard to find because the Google Maps marker is placed in the middle of green land without indicating where to turn off the main road onto the property.

We ordered the lamb, seafood gragada, scallops and two desserts. Everything was really delicious as expected with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere.

It’s not often that every menu item looks amazing, but at Taste, we wanted to eat everything. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had the lobster bisque, beef tartar, Seafood and Leek risotto, and the Seafood Gragada. We also had all three desserts - we couldn’t decide! While we didn’t need any dietary accommodations, the staff/chef were will to make them if needed. Views were beautiful. Best dining experience we’ve had in Newfoundland this far....
