Lovely family owned atmosphere. They are friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious! Not in the area often but it will definitely be our place to go whenever we come this way.

Do not miss this place while on the boot. Call ahead...the hours listed online are not accurate. Great food, good service, warm hospitality is what you will find at this gem. The seafood chowder was chock full of halibut, scallops, shrimp and other white fish. The pizza is excellent....with homemade dough, sauce, quality meats and cheeses....a real pizza oven, no conveyor belt here. And, blueberries in a wonderful chicken salad sandwich with bread made on premises, toasted to perfection in the pizza oven? Yes, that is what we had and couldn't finish due to the hearty portions. Spent another two hours with George and Tina after dinner solving the world's problems with many laughs involved...i hope my travels bring me back here. These are the kind of unexpected experiences that make travel truly invaluable.

I had a Reuben sandwich with Ceasar salad. Without doubt the best sandwich I have ever eaten. The Ceasar salad was fresh with an awesome homemade dressing. My daughter had a cheese burger and poutine.... not an average burger, and very delicious poutine. The staff was super friendly. We'll be back tomorrow for breakfast.

The people that run this cafe and pub are the kind of people you wish you could meet every day. We arrived at the end of a difficult day, especially difficult as regards finding enough food and drink to enjoy our holiday. These poor folk had suffered a break-in the night before by thieves that stole all their booze and so could not serve us any. Also the unusually heavy rains meant the local water supply was not fit to put in a glass. But these folks worked hard to make sure we had as good an evening as they could provide given what had happened to them. The cook went out of his way to provide the GF member of our group with a really excellent GF meal. Everything else was very tasty too but the memory that will linger will be the stoicism, friendliness and genuine care that these folks bring to their work. Do yourself and the world a favor and drop in to the Copper Kettle if you are in the area and have a lovely chat with the people there and get some good home cooked food - and if the thieves aren't active maybe a beer or two as well.
Dietary restrictions: Best to phone ahead if you can but if you can't George will still do everything he possibly can to give you a good meal to suit your needs.

Don't judge a book by the cover. This place is not fancy but the food is fantastic. Everything is home made. The owner/chef is very passionate about creating the best food possible. Best halibut I ever had! The service was excellent too!

Rude waitress. We made a reservation for 6 people, 4 of whom were 20 minutes late. While we were waiting on them, no one offered us anything to drink, so I flagged her down and asked for a beer. Response: "We don't do that here - everyone has to be seated all at the same time before we bring drinks out. And everything is going to be on one bill. When are they showing up?" I said another 5 minutes. Her response: "You have to be out of here in 35 minutes to make room for our next crowd." Nothing was mentioned about "sittings" when we reserved. Who can order food, eat it, and be gone in 30 minutes? Or even an hour? We walked out. They missed out on about $500 worth of business; highly unprofessional. In our decades of eating out, we were never treated like this.

Amazing homemade, quality food! The freshest fish and scallops we’ve ever had, delicious seafood chowder and the homemade pizza was delicious! The owner, George, spent time chatting with us, super friendly and passionate about his cooking, and you can tell! Our server Tina was so friendly and took time to chat with us after dinner, made the experience even more memorable. We highly recommend the Copper Kettle!
