Ordered the roast beef sandwich - they didn’t have it, so I got a blt which was so skimpy it might have had one piece of bacon on it and and mostly bread. Ordered the caramel brownie cheesecake - they didn’t have that either, so I got the toffee cheesecake which was ok but not good because the drizzle was a little burnt tasting. Ordered a Diet Pepsi - was informed they were out of all drinks and waiting for someone to bring some back from the store, this is not acceptable at all. Upon checkout they don’t do credit cards, debit cards or American cash so as an American I’ll be spending my money elsewhere because this place is a disaster menu, selection/availability of product and customer service wise. There were 4 of us, so that’s money that will never be spent there again - vey bad experience indeed.

One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in a restaurant. For starters the waitress said we have to use the QRcode for the menu. I hate using this. So we had to go over to the menu on the wall. No problem but it was her attitude that got me. We ordered 2 club house sandwiches and a BLT. The BLT was so thin. A few small pieces of bacon, 2 small thin slices of tomato and one thin piece of lettuce. No sides with it. When we went to order cheesecake we used the QR code. The main menu did not show up but the cheesecakes did. When we order she came back with a piece of paper with what was available which of course the ones we wanted were not on it. We had 2 clubs 1 BLT 3 pepsis 3 cheesecakes and an ice coffee and the bill came to 66 dollars. Sure not worth what we got. Went to pay and she said only cash or etransfer. Not impressed. She said there was a sign on the door. Luckily I had just enough cash but not enough for a tip. Walking out the owner was at the door and I said where is the sign saying this. It was under the window but not easy to see. I said to her the lady seating us should tell people especially those who are first timers. She was quite rude and said it was our problem not hers in not so nice voice and walk in and shut the door on me. Not one employee smiled and were very unfriendly. We will never be back or will anyone else we tell.

Stopped in for soup and cheesecake. Turkey soup was great. French onion soup also good. We sampled several cheesecake slices we brought home. All great.

Very neat place to visit if you are on this side of the island. Lots to look at. The cheese cake is so good and they are not shy when it comes to the size they give , very yummy food. Stop by if your in the area. Nice people and great food and the atmosphere is amazing with all the old things around you.

Sometimes, when they say "support local businesses" the subtext is actually "give them a slack" - this isn't the case! So clean, so tasty and delicious and so many flavours to choose from. And such a nice place.

We decided to come out to Grand Bank for a drive and some lunch. When we came, we were the only customers in the restaurant, and there weren't many who came after us. It certainly wasn't busy.

The service here was subpar at best. Our server took our orders, brought our food and never came back. We waited for an hour, and they still hadn't come back to check on our table or ask us about dessert.

Our meals were severely lacking in flavor. Even trying to enhance the flavor with salt left the chilly and sandwich bland (yes, we even tried to add salt to a sandwich).

The baked cheesecake was good. The unbaked cheesecake was fairly mushy, but the flavor was okay.

When we went to pay for our meal they had forgotten everything we ordered, which was very unprofessional. On the way out the door, we saw all three servers watching videos together on their phones - which we presume is why we had such poor service.

Coming in for a piece of cheesecake *to go* is probably the only time we will be back, if at all.

We were so happy to happen on this quirky/ funky restaurant with all sorts of knick knacks and eye-catching collection of memorabilia on the walls. The food was delicious and the service super friendly. Grand Bank is a sweet place by the water's edge and this restaurant is in a very nice section of the town. We happened to have Rachel as our server but she is also partly responsible for some of the food preparation. The owner of this establishment has been proudly serving the community for 40 years. Her staff are dedicated to making this the best possible dining experience for anyone who comes in. We were visitors but we could see that there are many loyal customers, locals that come in regularly. I feel confident that you will be guaranteed a positive experience if you visit.

This is a most unique shop. It's filled with memorabilia of past times. The food was great and the staff friendly. Beware though, the date we were there it was a cash only situation (no credit card or bank cards accepted). Not sure if this was a one-off or if this is the everyday situation.Worth the visit.

My wife & I visited for lunch. Loved the location and atmosphere of the cafe. Our server was polite and took our order right away. We each ordered a sandwich, and that is exactly what we received. Do not expect fries, coleslaw, or anything like that along with it. You could probably order as a side if you choose at an additional cost. My sandwich was something like what my mom would have made me when I was 6 years old - hardly anything in between the bread slices. Tasty, but you will get more meat and toppings in a sandwich purchased at your local grocery store - and probably pay a little less. Also, bring cash - they don't take plastic.

I try to visit Sharon's Nook every year I visit. This year was a disappointment. The Pea Soup was the saving grace, it was delicious but we ordered a Roast Beef sandwich and it was some sort of minced mush of Roast Beef and relish. It was green, tasted sour and was plain gross. There really should be a description under their sandwiches as some people cannot have relish due to allergies or even just preference. Generally if you order a Roast Beef sandwich it's simply the meat and Mayo or Miracle Whip. Sometimes with lettuce or tomato but we were unpleasantly surprised. When we mentioned it to the Waitress she didn't care, she didn't even offer us a different sandwich or offer to take it off our bill. $40 for 2 soups, 2 teas, 1 piece of cheesecake and a sandwich we didn't eat. Poor customer care compared to most places I've been. The unbaked cheesecake was sickly sweet. They also took my favorite dish off the menu, the Cod au Gratin. I hope it improves as I have enjoyed them in the past.
