Sally, despite info on the internet, Ida's was closed due to a long term illness. We were disappointed, as we'd made a long drive.

If you go to Greenspond you must go see Ida and the ladies. All homemade treats. Had a piece of blueberry cheesecake and a cinnamon bun another day. The scones were warm.

Ida's Place is a piece of heaven! Picture sitting on the deck of a 180 yr old home, eating the best piece of homemade cheesecake and cinnamon roll ever, as the waves crash on the shore and the sun is beaming on a warm summers day. The peacefulness is tranquil. The owners and staff are truly a breathe of fresh air. Just the kindest souls. You cannot miss out on visiting. There aren't enough stars to rate this place. ♡
A wonderful place for a tea and watching whales (if you are lucky). Greetings from the couple from Germany.

We were here for a “quick stop” in July and spent 3 hours! We were so blown away by the service pastries and delicious food and plan to visit again when in Newfoundland. Idas place is truly a best kept secret and a must do for any traveller if you want an authentic and delicious island experience. The menu offers something for everyone. My kids enjoyed a homemade lemonade and pastry and even the non tea drinkers had great options. The cheesecake, cinnamon buns(oh my) scones you can’t make a bad choice on this menu. We had hoped to spot some whales and the owners brought out binoculars, telescope and shared stories that we thoroughly loved Thank you so much for the hospitality ❤️ we were sad to leave Tammy, Steve, Jack , Angel, Crystal and Steve
