The ladies working were great, super friendly. And it was really slow when we went do it was nice.

However. They gave a jammer that was 4 months expired (folks, check your orange jammers for the next crowd). The washrooms were pretty gross. And I think the tarter sauce was also expired based on the code on the package? I read it as july 2024. I could be wrong tho.

We had chicken. Fish and fries. The fries were good. And I enjoyed the gravy.

The chicken was pretty bland, it was just plain chicken legs with a very thin crisp. But no special flavor. I elpersonally enjoyed the fish. The wife however, she didn't. It didn't have much taste apart form the fish itself. So the batter was pretty boring.

Love Kay's. Just moved here, and a relative recommended it. They weren't wrong. Best fish and chips since we arrived. Very reasonable prices and friendly helpful staff. Will definitely be a regular.

Fast and very friendly service. Good sized (big) portions. I had deep fried turkey for the 1st time and LOVED it, as did my wife. My only regret is they don't have a franchise in Ontario where I live! Lol. They even accomodated my wife's gluten free need. Very impressed. On my next trip to NF, this is a definite return visit!

Excellent service and exceptional food for it's genre. Everything was homemade and tasty from the batter (not from a mix!) to the delicious turkey gravy. Not a place to go for a healthy meal but if you're in the market for some tasty fish and chips, pea soup or anything in between this is one of the best spots I've been to. It's such a refreshing change to find one of these little home run restaurants where pride is taken in service and food instead of the usual boring chains. No frozen fries! Very clean restaurant with hand sanitizers on each table!

The clubhouse sandwich & fries would have been delicious if they had not been cold. Served on white bread not brown as ordered. Gravy was barely lukewarm. Obviously it had been ready for a long time before being served. We would have shared with our server but she disappeared. We mentioned it at the cash & we’re greeted with laughter & no apology.

Kays is always my first stop when I het home from away. I have either the chicken and fish or the seafood plate. I substitute the fries for a garden salad which is always well made and plentiful. The batter on the fish is light and does not leave one wondering where is the fish. The service is great and so friendly. When ever I am there there is a steady stream of takeout. They have Newfoundland place art on the woods which catches one's eye (I actually found where they got them and went there to pick up a few pieces). I can't really think of a downside.

This was the worst restaurant experience.We sat ourself to a table and waited an about 20 minutes before someone came over to us to see if we wanted a menu. There were no greeting from the server.The initial waitress asked if we were eating in and then took a couple of menus from a couple next to us, and then pass them over to us without saying a word and left.We waited another 20 minutes before a second waitress asked us on the other side of the counter because the first server didn’t return and asked If we had our order in and then came over to take our order( no communication except taking our orders)Waited another 45 minutes. Our meals came out, and my fish was very watery and greasy. My mom’s chicken wings add a hair into it. I brought it to the second waitress attention, and she gave no apology for the experience. She took the chicken wings off the bill , without any kind of attempting to make amends. Gave me the receipt and I paid.The waitresses were very cold and acted like they didn’t even want to be there themselves.I will never go back there again because of such poor service, and the floors were rotten

We were a table of 3 waiting to be served when 3 other tables got their orders in first. When I approached the server she said I have get these orders in first. We got their at 5:15 didn't get out of there till 6:50. We could of went anywhere but went to Kay's. While trying pay for the order it took 15 mins she didn't even know what my man wanted he said to pay for the meal she didn't even know what table we sat at. She also said that if there is alot of cars out front we are busy not to come in. If you guys are short staffed you shouldn't be open. And on top of that my man had deep fried turkey and my mom.had wings. One of her wings was in my man's plate and one of his deepest fried turkey was in my mom's plate. Unreal to say the least. WE WONT BE BACK!

Kay's is always a go too when I return each summer to my summer house down the shore. Always do the fish and chips with dressing and gravy. Food is always good, and service has always been great. Large servings and great value, compared to other places.Will return, never disappoints

Food was ok not worth the price, service was not good server seemed annoyed by having to do her job. Overall wasn’t worth it definitely Wont be returning.
