Excellent service and exceptional food for it's genre. Everything was homemade and tasty from the batter (not from a mix!) to the delicious turkey gravy. Not a place to go for a healthy meal but if you're in the market for some tasty fish and chips, pea soup or anything in between this is one of the best spots I've been to. The clubhouse sandwich & fries would have been delicious if they had not been cold. Served on white bread not brown as ordered. Gravy was barely lukewarm. Obviously it had been ready for a long time before being served. We would have shared with our server but she disappeared. We mentioned it at the cash & we’re greeted with laughter & no apology.
Kays is always my first stop when I het home from away. I have either the chicken and fish or the seafood plate. I substitute the fries for a garden salad which is always well made and plentiful. The batter on the fish is light and does not leave one wondering where is the fish. The service is great and so friendly. When ever I am there there is a steady stream of takeout.
