My wife and I dropped into The Lightkeeper's Diner for lunch when we're touring the area and I got to say it was worth the stop. The food was awesome (especially the fries) and the service was top notch.

Was told to be there for pickup at a certain time and didn't see a single person at the register until about 20 minutes later. Got home with it and realized that there was still food missing, and just about everything was cold. Aside from the service, their burger still tasted pretty good.

On the site it was suppose to open for 11 and didn’t open till 1....Got our food Hubby’s food was hot and my daughter’s and I was cold..,didn’t ask if we wanted pop in glass or can..Smelled like an old smell..Lady was not very polite..Been their before and had Great Service and Food,but it has gone downhill..

My family of four was very disappointed with the fish and chips. We were excited after hearing locals say this place was the best so we had four fish and chips. However the fish we received was red fish (not cod fish), very dry and tasteless. The fries were likewise very dry and over all a very small portion. Given the area is well known for fishing we were extremely disappointed. If you go here, we do not recommend the fish and chips. So, so disappointed.

Avoid this place! One of (if not) the worst fish and chips experiences we've had in NL. My family and I were disappointed to receive dry, red fish -rather than cod. The fries were also dry and the portion was very small. If you're in Hermitage spend the gas to go elsewhere. This is not worth the price. They very much need to make improvements.
