Worst experience ever. After spending almost a 100$ there I will never go back. We showed up for a bachelorette party for five and told we had to sit on a picnic table which we were fine with. But this is how it starts after.. we waited 15 minutes before getting asked what we wanted to drink (also had to call out across the deck for a waiter to get a drink menu) while there was people that came in after us that got served drinks and food before us when we were there with our books closed waiting for service! We were seconds to walking out then the server came out. Also never received napkins or cutlery for our food when asking for napkins we were given three for five people! Short story is if I could only tip on the taste of the food I would! Also stay away from the nachos! Portion sizes aren’t worth the price!

View was stellar. Food was mediocre. Service was poor. Waiter was paying way more attention to customers he knew than to everyone else. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Food was fantastic and service was top notch. Servers were prompt and good natured. The view was phenomenal as you are right by the ocean.

Only reason this is two stars is because the waiter was extremely friendly. We waited over an hour for our food. Only for it to be mediocre. Disappointing to say the least as this place was highly recommended to us.

Located on the ocean in beautiful Kings Cove, the facility provides a great dining experience. The service, atmosphere and food are absolutely first class. We had a bowl of very tasty seafood chowder and a glass of wine for lunch. The are several boutiques nearby with high quality handmade crafts and a whale exhibit next door. You will not be disappointed with your dining experience here.

We stayed in rooms 4 and 5, private bedrooms with washrooms but with a common area with dining table, full kitchen and sofa and chair seating 4. The patio doors face the bay but have no screens so can get a little warm. 4 faces the bay and 5 faces the street; both are up a flight of stairs with your luggage. They, along with 3 and likely 2, are in the separate white building. Parking for the rooms is on the right hand side of it. Rooms 3 and 4 have chairs outside to view the bay. There was a grab bar in the tub/ shower but none for getting out. Water is discoloured like in many parts of Newfoundland, but fine. Breakfast “starts” at 9, but they are not really ready to go then. The kitchen was also having an issue so if you need to be on your way early, eat in your room. Dinner the night before was good, but do not be in a hurry. Beautiful covered outside eating area and several shops right close by to walk to after eating. Recommend for the view and convenience. Travelled to Nicky’s Nose for iceberg viewing on July 10.

While this is not a 5-star restaurant, it is very good for what it is. Service was good, food was good, cost reasonable. I had one piece of pan fried cod. Came with choice of potato and a few overcooked carrot pieces. My spouse had seafood chowder which she rated as 7/10, plus a taco salad that although very fresh, lacked any dressing. With a beer and a glass of wine the cost was $65 before the tip.

What an awesome place! We went there today on ski doo, we walked 400 meters but the homeowners gave us a ride back to our ski doos. And they would have came and got us if we had called them. We had a fabulous lunch. The service was amazing. And we will return again. Beautiful place for everyone to visit. If you are travelling on snowmobiles and can’t get all the way give them a call. Amazing service.

We stayed at By the Sea Inn & Cafe for one night on our way to Fogo Island. We had a lovely second floor room with a large shared balcony overlooking the bay. We had a very early departure the next morning; we were so grateful that the staff delivered hard boiled eggs, crisp bacon, bread & jam and juice to our room so we wouldn't leave hungry. Dinner on the cafe deck was delicious. King's Point was a very pretty village; lots of colourful chairs along the promenade made us wish we could stay longer.

We booked a one night stay here. We were given a room separate from the restaurant. The room wasn't fancy but neither are we. There was a kitchen/dining area that was shared with another room. A small balcony at the front allowed for one to enjoy the quiet of a small town. The restaurant was generally busy and the food was good. At breakfast the locals were lined up, which is always a good sign.

Incredible location on the water with the most scrumptious food. Staff were so friendly and shared info about the area. We didn’t see any whales but maybe next time

This appears to be where all the locals go. Food was good. Chowder was superb. Tried the cod tongues. They were good. Surprised. Burger was good. Fries good. Crepe ok. Jan rather than fresh berries Service staff super nice. Like super nice. However, Was super Uber super slow. One kept coming and asking if we wanted our bill. We just had our appetizer at that point. With a bit more organization perhaps they could get speedier. But if ur not in a rush anywhere it’s a great place for a relaxing dinner

The only place in town for now, but it’s the best food I’ve had since being in NFLD. Affordable prices, good cooking and friendly service and not just pub food.

We are visiting from Ontario and went to celebrate my birthday. We had great service and excellent food. The servers were there to chat if you wanted to chat but weren’t too fussy, and they were all genuine. I even got a free crepe for my birthday, and the servers all sang! I had the ribs (brought 1/2 home as it was too much for me to eat) and my husband had the fish and chips, both delicious. We started with the spinach dip which was really good. My husband had the sticky toffee pudding, yum!!
