We tried hot&sour soup, general tsao, Mongolian beef, Szechuan beef and vegetable and egg fried rice dishes. Soup was extra salty. Beef in Mongolian dish was tender but the overall dish was more sweeter. Szechuan beef had a good balanced taste but beef was not tender enough. General Tsao was good, wasn't expecting big pieces of chicken. Fried rice was average. It's a nice cozy restaurant and a good option during travel breaks and lunch. Staff were great and ambience was great. There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of food taste.

Visited on 2024.09.
The portions of the meals are so large that one person cannot finish them all and needs to be packed away.
The staff in the store can speak Chinese and are enthusiastic, and can provide Chinese ordering services.

This was our fourth time eating at Li's over the last four years, and it never disappoints. The quality and quantity of the food are second to none. We drove over 400km from St. John's just to have a meal at this awesome restaurant. Wilson and his staff are, without a doubt, the most accommodating hosts we have ever met. Would strongly recommend going out of your way to eat there.

I've been coming here for over 10+ years. Li’s Restaurant in Lewisporte is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere—a perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience.

Beef and Broccoli: Li’s version of this classic dish is nothing short of spectacular. Tender beef slices mingle with vibrant broccoli florets, all coated in a savory brown sauce. Each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.

Li’s Deluxe Soup: Ah, the soup that warms hearts and souls! A secret recipe passed down through generations. Imagine a fragrant broth infused with herbs, dumplings, tender chicken, beef and whispers of ginger. It’s like a comforting hug in a bowl.

General Tao Chicken: Crispy, sticky, and utterly addictive—Li’s General Tao Chicken is a crowd-pleaser. The golden-brown chicken pieces are coated in a sweet and tangy sauce, with just the right amount of heat. Pair it with steamed rice for a match made in food heaven.

The service at Li’s is impeccable. The friendly staff ensures you feel like a cherished guest, and the generous portions leave you satisfied and smiling. Whether you’re a local or a traveler exploring Newfoundland, Li’s Restaurant is a must-visit.
