The last time we ate here was 5 years ago, and it was probably the worst meal we’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Hearing that there was a new owner, we decided to try again and we were totally impressed!!!! Our food was excellent (the Admirals Burger and the Clubhouse were outstanding, and they have the best gravy I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time), and the service was very quick and attentive. Our server Katie was very knowledgeable and cheerful, and made sure to fill us in on all the upcoming events that the establishment has going on. We will definitely be back!!

The food was amazing but way over priced, I had a clubhouse and they charged me $20! My husband had a burger and fries, the burger was burnt and there was hardly any fries for $20 as well. I will not be returning.......such a shame as it has great potential.

Love the new owner very friendly. Best fries ive had in a long time!! I would suggest square bread for club house just to avoid that tiny corner piece ?. Been there a few times and always delicious food with a great view!

We arrived and sat at our table, the server did finally come to the table and brought menus. There was no offer for beverages at this time and never throughout our waiting was there any water offered to the table. When the drinks were finally ordered and an appetizer we received our drinks fairly quick, but the appetizers took 45 minutes. And the "Tiger" shrimp cocktail consisted of 7 shrimp that seemed they come from a shrimp ring. The 5 plates of food come out 1 at a time. The food was less then sub par. The fish and chips were like a frozen dinner. Yes it was very busy at the time with a total of 11 customers in the place. The food was terrible, expected better after sitting for an hour and a half for it to get to the table. Guarantee no return or referrals from our group. This was brought to the severs attention about the food and it was of no concern to her at all.

Since relocating to the Burin Peninsula we've been looking for dining out opportunities, today we discovered this gem that has been added to our list. Great atmosphere with friendly service combined with good food made for a dining experience we loved and think you will to. Birthday dinner consisting of the Admiral feast (pan fried scallops, shrimp and cod with fries) and pan fried cod with fries were excellent.

Well I’ll start with the fact it was busy when we walked in me and My family , there was a table of seniors maybe 10-12 people . We were told may be a bit of a wait which was ok . But we got our food before the seniors table who had been there first ! And the food was not good , I had two piece cardboard chicken and a crouton salad ( Caesar salad ) . . My brother had barely there over batter fish n hard fries . My grand child had a hot dog cause she does not each many things frozen still in the middle . The service was crap , never once checked on us . As we ate during that half hour or so not one other meal was delivered to any other table I noticed . The poor seniors were half asleep at their table I think from the wait ? … was an experience that made me decide never will I go back . Bad service well hardly any service and bad bad food also noticed as I went to the washroom kitchen staff without hair nets !!! . I would not give one star if I could ….

A warm and welcoming experience for us, on our first evening in Nfld. The food was great -- fish and chips worth driving a good ways for! But even better was the service -- helpful and informative and ever so welcoming.
